UC Health is hiring a Full Time Strategy & Business Development Analyst

The Analyst, Strategy & Business Development will support the Strategy & Business Development Team and UC Health leadership in the development of business plans, leveraging financial, market, and operational data. The Analyst is responsible for being a subject matter expert in both internal and external data, including but not limited to financial and operational scenario assessments.

The Analyst will use strong analytical thinking capability, excellent organizational skills, progressive knowledge and demonstrated use of business analysis methodologies. The Analyst is expected to communicate effectively with leadership and build rapport with internal stakeholders. This position requires initiative, attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, and a high level of productivity.

Programmatic and New Initiative Analytics:

  • Support the work of the Strategy & Business Development Team by requesting and analyzing the data needed to support the creation of disciplined plans and evaluations for any new strategic initiative that may include market assessments, operational performance, financial modeling, and other information, as needed.
  • Support physician, practice acquisition or other business development initiatives.
  • Makes written presentations and reports on assigned projects or proposals.
  • Applies understanding of market research and analysis of external market data sources to develop forecast models and scenario planning.

Quantitative (Financial, Operational and Market) and Qualitative Data Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collect, organize, and synthesize data and prepare reports on UC Health and competitor volume and market share.
  • Apply quantitative analysis and data visualizations to tell the story behind the numbers and summarize key findings.
  • Research and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports in support of service lines, business units, COEs, strategic planning projects, and corporate functions of UC Health.
  • Work with external organizations to obtain qualitative information and other requested best practices information. Will require internet research along with research conducted through various healthcare intelligence firms.
  • Research and summarize competitor intelligence information.
  • Subscribe to and monitor local and national sources and determine those of significance and impact on the business

Business Planning Process Support:

  • Assist with tracking prioritized activities related to new business and program ventures.
  • Communicate to stakeholders and the SBD Team the status of submitted initiatives and create visualization of progress throughout the Strategic Planning process.

UC Health goal planning:

  • Supports leadership in UC Health system-level goal planning and monitoring, as aligned with UC Health Strategic Plan
  • Assists with creation of processes to monitor and advance annual key performance indicators, strategic differentiating projects and large organizational projects

Partnering with Colleagues:

  • Builds and maintain relationships with key stakeholder in a manner that effectively communicates, collaborates, and influences, including marketing, finance, design and construction, and operations.
  • Develop and manage timelines for multiple projects; consistently meeting deadlines and effectively communicating barriers.
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree- Business, Healthcare Leadership, Statistics, Public Health.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree- MBA, MHA, MPH, MHSA.
  • Minimum Required: 1-2 years experience in healthcare.
