The Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) is looking to hire a Strategy Analytics Lead who will be charged with gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and communicating data required to support the RMD Strategy and Business Transformation function across strategic intelligence, strategy development, partnerships, and corporate development. The position will report to the RMD Director of Analytics and Strategic Intelligence and interface with business executives to drive the organization toward data driven decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to support the Strategy Analytics team while supporting the standup of the overall RMD Strategy organization. The lead will be responsible for collaborating with corporate counterparts and internally with functional and mission areas, to identify and provide timely data, analysis, and forecasting.

This position can be located at any RMD facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the process for defining strategic business questions to be answered with a data driven approach

  • Generating and processing complex, large-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, research, and rapid responses to requests from across the organization in areas including but not limited to the aerospace and defense market and internal performance

  • Architecting new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics and information visualization

  • Assisting corporate strategy with the creation and maintenance of budget based market models

  • Building the analytical approach used for the NBI (New Business Investment) /Capital resourcing process

  • Developing training programs meant for improving RMD's understanding of the use of data

  • Liaising with other Analytics organizations across Raytheon Technologies

  • Coordinating all strategy data subscriptions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or similar related discipline.

  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with performing analytics

  • 10 years of progressive experience

  • Experience with data science and visualization tools/techniques

  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Possess strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, teaming, and problemsolving skills

  • Deep knowledge and experience in data science

  • A solid knowledge of executive level communication

  • Experience driving an organization to make challenging decisions

  • Ability to form and work within highly skilled teams

  • Knowledge of current Analytics efforts across the RMD business

  • Understanding of Aerospace and Defense market space and budget process

  • Experience working defense programs or new business captures

  • Advanced degree

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of employment

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

The successful candidate will provide financial analysis and business services by assisting operating personnel in the preparation of objective analysis of Capital and Operating and Maintenance (O&M) budgets and performance reports including business plans. * Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of all budgets for station. * Develops the long term planning process, manages the process within the individual business units and presents to management the Long Term O&M Plan for the organization * Develops and manages the re-projection process for the station and owners, and prepares budget variance analysis and budget re-projections to update the financial forecast. * Develops, maintains and distributes reports and performance indicators that combine financial and non-financial information for station and owners. * Adds value and builds capacity within the organization in a partnership/advisory capacity by providing financial services and training that facilitate management's business decision making process. * Provides effective and clear communications with management, peers and all areas supporting business evaluation. Ensure proper documentation in support of business decisions. * Supports purchasing activities during outages. * Perform historical and future cost analysis. * Completes special projects as needed. * This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures. Position-Related Responsibilities Analyst II: * Collects and presents capital and O&M budget information. * Uses budgeting databases and reporting systems to ensure that all budget information is submitted: (1) accurately, (2) completely, and (3) by set deadline.
