The Global Innovation Hub Strategist will work to develop transformative solutions informed by deep consumer research and insight. They will uncover the intangible attitudes, behaviors, and motivations that drive people's choices and desires. By identifying key consumer pain points, they can create contextually impactful opportunities and platforms through empathetic design thinking.


  • Conduct quantitative research investigations that help strategically frame, validate or challenge other forms of research

  • Develop ethnographic research and contextual design investigations

  • Develop customer behaviors, pain points, needs and aspirations

  • Initiate future-visioning investigations through deep trend analysis and scenario planning, allowing for the design of new experience models and capability sets

  • Identify insights from customer research and market analysis

  • Bring research to life through personas, customer journeys, service models, insight-opportunity frameworks, system maps, stories and scenarios

  • Design and facilitate immersion sessions with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that product development and delivery is consistent with strategic and consumer insights.

  • Observe and engage audiences within the markets of interest to test commercialization assumptions for audience capture and scaling

  • Contribute to the sizing of value opportunities and the creation of business models


Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in design, business, psychology, strategy, marketing or another relevant field

  • 3+ years of relevant experience leading research (quantitative and qualitative), conceptual development and design

  • Experience working alongside design teams to create new ownership models and service concepts

  • Track record shaping user experiences and delivering tangible products to market

  • Experience working in an Agile environment


  • Experience leading ethnographic research (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Proven ability to use human-centered insight to answer business questions
  • A background with product prototyping and testing, future visioning and strategy development


  • A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment

  • Very high standard of attention to detail throughout all their work

  • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment

  • A visionary who is always looking to learn

  • Proactive always looking for ways to improve

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

This individual will be required to promote critical business change and inspiration within global leadership organization: discover & deploy new/agile consumer and innovation growth capabilities, pilot with purpose to demonstrate value and re-establish strong global community all in service of creating a K-C culture of change.   The candidate will be responsible for leading RFP/RFIs, evaluating new solutions, running pilots in lead markets in partnership with regional/local leads and aligning decisions with key business stakeholders. This role will also be required to develop deployment and training plans, including establishment of standards, guidelines and frameworks for best practice adoption of new capabilities/tools. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS: * Partner with Global, Regional and Local stakeholders to drive best practices and corporate standards across the global enterprise, unlocking value for the brand, region, and organization. * Maintain strong collaboration, improved transparency and open communication channels between GSLT, RSL, local teams and ITS to ensure better decision making. * Demonstrated ability to embrace the strategic vision and operationalize tactically to inspire and implement change successfully within organization. * Establish a winning "play, learn and adopt" environment via strategic pilots tackling real brand challenges. * Provide trusted advice, influence and thought leadership across our marketing teams (local, regional and global) * Communicate complex capabilities in a simple and compelling way that demonstrates the clear advantage to K-C brands. * Establish and facilitate a positive culture climate that creates global willingness to try new things and change. * Strong problem-solving skills and calm persistence in navigating tough challenges with ability to maintain focus in complex and shifting environments. * Continued market sensing to understand emerging trends, best-in-class models and consultative approaches, acting as functional expert in the discipline and practice of Consumer and Advanced Analytics practices. * Utilize RFP/RFI process as needed, in partnership with Procurement to continuously scan for new opportunities and drive vendor selection/contracts. * Promote the K-C Way of Brand Building. * Up to 25% travel may be required. EXPECTATIONS: * Education: Bachelor's Degree, MBA or graduate level degree in related field preferred * Experience: 5-7 years of deep expertise in consumer insights and/or innovation growth/development * Experience in capability development & deployment, including visioning, road mapping, feature prioritization and go-to-market strategy, with possible global reach. * Provides recommendations and influences strategic decision making * Ability to work effectively and influence all levels of business team management * Works independently based on strategic direction and requires limited direction to complete assignments * Requires ability to interpret and adapt theory and textbook concepts into workable solutions for delivery of work * Proven ability in translating data to knowledge to actionable business recommendations * Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance, cultures and time zones in a matrix with multiple reporting lines that may extend outside of K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers. * Excellent written and communication skills.
