Product Engineering Software (PES)

NX Platform

As an intern in Product Engineering Software (PES), you will dive into developing our premiere NX CAD software. You may work on business critical projects in quality assurance, business analytics, prototypes for new releases, automated tests, test results analysis, etc. You will have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers and push the limits on our project teams to:

  • Learn our software needs and functionality, following the various steps in the Software Development Lifecycle Process (SDLC)

  • Draft design and coding documentation for future development expansion


  • Define a wide range of functionality solutions to support industry workflows


  • Write specification documents and document designs in a clear and concise manner


  • Collaborate with lead developers and senior definition team members to ensure successful project implementation


  • Assist in maintaining our existing software product by analyzing and defining solutions to reported problems


  • Interactively test NX through scheduled automated suites

  • Analyze test results and provide insights on detected problems

  • Design and implement new test cases

  • Work on cloud based web applications

Organization Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, or a first year Master's student, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering


  • Strong background in object oriented programming


  • C++, Python and Linux experience is preferred


  • Cloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) knowledge is beneficial


  • Passionate, driven, and proactive


  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills


  • Effective organizational and time management skills


  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Your work will involve design work, systems work and the use of relevant Product Data Management tools.
