Wave Life Sciences, Inc. seeks Strategic Sourcing Specialist based in Lexington, MA offices. Duties include:

Maintain responsibility for sourcing and purchasing $10M in manufacturing raw materials for the Company's biotechnology research and development activities. Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field and 1 year experience in raw materials procurement management. Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently: 1 year experience in raw materials procurement management including preparation of requirement packages supporting Requests for Proposals, obtaining quotations, identifying lead-times, and reviewing bid packages; 1 year experience in supplier management including identification of suppliers and contract negotiation; 1 year experience in supplier relationship management including the ability to establish and build strong relationship/partnerships with critical raw material suppliers, conduct regular meetings to discuss company requirements and identify and obtain solutions for cost savings initiatives, and effectively and timely resolve supplier issues as needed; 1 year experience using MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project); 1 year experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to conduct inventory, production programming, purchasing, material transfers and accounting transactions; 1 year experience in vendor management, capital equipment, inventory management, supply chain and procurement processes; 1 year experience in the raw materials sourcing and acquisition process to support research, development, and manufacturing activities in the oligonucleotides industry, including but not limited to chemicals, PNs, amidites, reagents, and solvents; 1 year experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to develop Strategic Procurement Reports and Key Performance Indicators for Supply Chain Management including the identification of transaction issues and gaps within the ERP system (Oracle) to prevent compliance issues that result in deviations; and 1 year experience employing analytics to calculate raw material levels for Kanban Systems in order to achieve optimal purchasing processes and support cGMP in the biopharmaceutical industry. Position is based in Company's manufacturing facilities in Lexington, MA with travel up to 4 days per month) to Cambridge, MA HQ offices.

VIEW JOBS 11/2/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-31T00:00 The Space Systems Analysis and Test Group identifies and evaluates threats to U.S. use of space for military, intelligence, civil and commercial purposes. This work involves understanding the attributes and vulnerabilities of U.S. space-related systems, including the sensors and networks used to detect, track, and characterize objects in space, the satellites that provide space-based services, and the infrastructure used to control and operate these satellites. A central component of this effort involves consideration of how adversaries might try to exploit U.S. vulnerabilities; assessing the risk of exploitation involves technically evaluating the knowledge and resources required to mount a credible threat against our systems. The Firepond Optical Facility (FOF) in Westford, MA comprises of the Firepond Telescope, Very Wide Field of View (VWFOV), GEO Searcher, and Wallace Telemetry. All these sensors are controlled at FOF in Westford, MA which serves as a hub of a threat emulation network. FOF supports data collection activities supporting the analysis threats to U.S. spaced based assets. Position Summary: Operate the Firepond Telescope, Very Wide Field of View (VWFOV), GEO Searcher, and Wallace Telemetry to track satellites and carry out data acquisition according to customer needs and in direct support of orbital analysts; work directly with analysts responding to customer requests and anticipating customer needs. Responsibility will include collection of space data as tasked; initialization & shutdown of optical and telemetry systems; perform initial analysis of collected data to verify that the optical and telemetry sensors are operating correctly; monitor communications links for tasking and other mission information; be cognizant of and take appropriate action on equipment problems; interact with engineers, technicians, IT professionals, and the FOF Site Manager or his representative to ensure optimum system performance; and communicate with external customers in response to special data collection requests, and to convey changes in sensor status. This position also requires system administration of FOF systems: OS updates, software updates, software testing. Position Requirements: Associate Degree or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in optical or telemetry operations. Knowledge of orbital mechanics highly desirable. Requires fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with UNIX/Linux user applications and MATLAB is a plus. Candidates must have strong communications skills, and the ability to work alone or in small teams. This position involves weekly rotating shift work and weekend hours. Candidates must work primarily on second shift, but be willing and able to work all shifts; and must have the flexibility to adapt to short-notice schedule changes and rapidly changing mission tempos. Highly desired: a willingness and ability to develop a working understanding of orbital mechanics. While in-depth knowledge is not required, candidates must be able to understand the nature of the orbital environment. Highly desired: interest in astronomy and optics. Primary Activities – Firepond Test Director * Maintenance of Weekly Firepond test bed operations schedule and calendar Maintains the Firepond weekly schedule and calendar. Works with operator pool to support weekly operations. * Angle Operator for Firepond Telescope Responsible for supporting any Firepond telescope data collections. * Satellite Visibility and Mission Planning Uses Praseto visibility toolbox to generate satellite viabilities. Works with data collection requestors to generate a data collection mission plans. * Passive RF Operations (Wallace/Gromit/Shaun) Responsible for supporting any Passive RF data collections. Firepond test director performs Passive RF G/T calibrations. * Performance of routine bi-weekly maintenance The Firepond test director performs routine bi-weekly maintenance for the Firepond telescope and passive RF systems.
