POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will provide accurate and timely quotations, manage WebCenter projects, and maintain detailed records for analysis. Responsibilities include following up with sales, managing supplier relationships, planning import strategies, and ensuring compliance with import laws. You will collaborate with various departments to maintain inventory and support process audits.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary focus is to provide custom quotations with a sense of urgency as they are requested by sales and account managers, ensuring accuracy of the item spec information and pricing details.

• Manage and maintain all WebCenter projects in the Purchased Products Workflow by uploading quotes, artwork, case artwork files, additional information, approvals and discussions/communications, pushing all projects through to completion.

• Maintain detailed records of quotations and items quoted for reference and analysis.

• Ensure the structure and accuracy of project data contained in the Master ID Project Excel, All Items 9, Order Tracking and other sourcing spreadsheets for easy reference and analysis.

• Follow up bi-weekly with sales & account managers post-quote submission. Move forward or close out projects noting the reasons for loss.

• Compare pricing and freight rates to identify the best rates for container shipments.

• Utilize online tracking websites to monitor delivery and ETA dates.

• Source suppliers and develop/lead supplier relationship management.

• Plan and implement import strategy and activities consistent with overall organizational goals.

• Anticipate, research, and report on future changes in import laws and relevant local territory practices.

• Collaborate with freight forwarders to enhance and monitor international freight lanes.

• Act as liaison to the Sales/Marketing team for product sourcing and development.

• Interact with Customer Service, Demand Planners and Finished Goods Inventory Manager to ensure order quantity and maintaining appropriate inventory.

• Perform process audits and support departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree in related field preferred (Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, etc.)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

• Previous company purchasing experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.

• Import purchasing experience preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Advanced Word, Outlook, Excel, and data entry software.

• JD Edwards Enterprise One experience preferred but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Normal office environment with occasional visits to plant facilities.

• Occasional travel required for training or meetings.
