Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking a Labor Services Strategic Sourcing Specialist located in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring labor services to achieve maximum value and best price while demonstrating compliance with company policies and procedures. Purchases complex multi-faceted labor services for nested, turnaround, and capital projects. Manages procured commodities and service agreements while maintaining a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists and/or leads the development of requests for proposal, issues requests for quotes, and conducts sourcing efforts to include high dollar source selections across multiple sites

  • Assists and/or leads in contract negotiations, agreement execution, management of change, and agreement implementation

  • Administers current agreements by negotiating change orders, executing contract extensions, resolving administrative issues, and updating SAP

  • Manages supplier claims and associated resolutions

  • Collaborates with strategic partners to develop and manage key performance indicators and quality assurance processes

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify and leverage contract value opportunities

  • Monitors labor markets, conducts market intelligence, and utilizes the obtained information to optimize savings and plant run rate

  • Calculates and reports actual and projected sourcing savings by spend categories

  • Ensures continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, procurement guidelines, policies and procedures and safety requirements

  • Follows Olin's Strategic Sourcing Process and uses Ariba tools for sourcing

  • Delivers procurement impact savings in accordance with yearly category objectives

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree*; business, engineering, supply chain or related discipline strongly preferred; Master's degree preferred

  • 3 years of related experience with the sourcing process and negotiating contracts with vendors including managing a competitive bid process; experience with labor sourcing preferred

  • Team oriented-competency with interfacing with peers, stakeholders, and partners across organizational boundaries

  • High awareness to detail, strong decision-making ability and creative problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to present findings in a logical and comprehensive manner

  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in utilizing SAP

  • Ariba experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred candidates will have:

  • 5 year of Labor/ Services Procurement, Contract Management, and/or Contract Administration

  • 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing/industrial work setting

  • Strategic Sourcing experience

  • Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S.. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
