WesTech Engineering Inc. has an immediate need for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a key role in creating strategies, developing new suppliers, leads negotiations for supplier agreements, contract management, sourcing for domestic and international needs, and driving best value decisions for WesTech.

Creates commodity strategies for assigned commodities including but not limited to fabrication. Presents and obtains buy-in on strategies and action plans with all levels of the organization.
Executes on strategy and associated action plans to achieve desired results.
Leads negotiations on supplier agreements, including pricing, inventory, lead times, capacity planning and so on.
Supports groups in strategic sourcing for multi-generational projects, long-lead time jobs, and bid quotes.
Manages supplier risk; including financial, cost and operational risk.
Works with Quality, Logistics and Accounts Payable to ensure seamless integration of new agreements and new suppliers as well as supports in issue resolution.
Develops New Suppliers and Sources of Supply, domestically and internationally.
Works with Fabricators, Engineers and Project Managers on Continuous Improvement and Process Improvement initiatives as well as Design for Manufacturability.
Supports buyers as an escalation point for late deliveries, quality or other issues with suppliers.
Conducts Supplier Reviews regularly, reviewing scorecards and discussing performance with suppliers.
Benchmarks market trends and industry conditions, including prices, capacity, lead times and best practices.
Travels, as necessary, to help qualify new suppliers, resolve issues, and support the needs of the business.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Domestic and International Sourcing, Contract Management, Metals / Fabrication Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality.
Unquestionable honesty & integrity. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations. Fair in working with suppliers / internal customers.
Expertise in using MS Office tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both an internal and external customer focus. Ability to Present Vision and Strategies at all levels of the organization.
Analytical able to analyze data to find trends, see current state and create future state for commodity strategies.
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail and follow through.
Execute strategies and drive changes to ensure actions are carried out.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work within deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
Experience using Navision and MRP software
Experience using SharePoint
General knowledge of mechanical equipment
Second language skills a plus (priority to low cost country sourcing languages)
Water treatment and/or process equipment understanding
Office setting environment, including frequent computer work.
Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and see. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Regularly required to move around the facility.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Occasion travel, as needed, but generally less than 25%.
