Position Responsibilities:

  • Active in all supplier management activities of assigned equipment categories; responding to all supplier related issues (backordered equipment and parts, defective units and returns, risk and safety issues, training requests, marketing activities and support)

  • Works with internal sourcing team on developing and maintaining preferred supplier scorecards and measurements

  • Contributes to team effort by working with other members of the Fleet Department and with other departments as necessary and providing department support on various tasks and projects as assigned

  • Increases department effectiveness by proactively making recommendations for process improvements; identifying, facilitating and executing innovative problem resolutions

  • Serves as a resource for Fleet Department and field operations in addressing equipment specifications and configurations, unique equipment needs, evaluating specific equipment offerings and comparable substitutions, and large retail equipment needs

  • Interacts with all levels of management; communicates, presents or provides information/updates as requested or necessary of results, opportunities or progress on projects impacting company


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field of study or equivalent experience

  • While the amount of experience is not as important as the quality of experience, a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in a strategic sourcing environment required.

  • A strong understanding of the rental industry, construction equipment and related markets preferred.

  • MBA is preferred but not required.

  • CPM or similar certification is preferred.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining supplier relationships, capacity planning for our critical suppliers, and strategically supporting any outsourcing of SBS work. You will work with our Cross-functional teams as well as our Procurement teams to follow supplier protocol for Shutterfly Inc. Ideal Candidate must demonstrate the ability to: * Knowledge in the Commercial Print and Manufacturing business * Knowledge in Commercial Materials * Be able to research and strategize supplier partnerships * Be detailed oriented, organized and efficient. * Communicate verbal and written skills effectively. * Desire and ability to work and excel in a fast paced, goal-oriented environment. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once. * Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships. * Possess an elevated level of integrity and ethical standards to protect company confidential information. Responsibilities: o Oversee coordination of the Sourcing for SBS by prioritizing and tracking project development. o Documenting specifications and securing samples for the Sourcing and Development team sample library. o Work with Product, Client Service, and Procurement teams to coordinate appropriate materials and/or samples for compliance product testing and ensure the appropriate documentation is generated. o Provide constant feedback throughout the entire Sourcing Project process to Client Service, Product, and Production teams via regularly scheduled meetings. o Negotiate pricing, and partner with suppliers o Track requested samples, revisions and approvals throughout development process. o Communicate critical information and/or any issues relating to development deliverables to all key stakeholders on a timely basis. o Assist the Client Service and Sales team with packing and shipping samples to internal / external partners. o Assist with special projects as assigned. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Project Management, or Supply Chain. Minimum 5 years' experience in Commercial Manufacturing Sourcing Commercial Print Sourcing preferred, Product Development, Product Management, Import Management a plus Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel Spreadsheet, Power Point and Outlook).
