Description:The Military Aftermarket Supply Chain Management group seeks an experienced supply chain candidate with strong leadership skills to join our dynamic team of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technical specialists supporting a cross functional supply chain team in the strategy development and execution for various commodities in support of legacy military spares & repairs. Responsibilities extend from initial customer proposal development through final delivery execution to meet customer and program requirements for part supply.

Assess supply chain capacity and capability and take the appropriate actions to establish 2nd sources of supply and or right size the supply base to meet aftermarket customer and program requirements. Provide technical leadership and assistance to facilitate strategic sourcing work transition initiatives for Sikorsky Aftermarket. Investigate/resolve part producibility issues and assist with the improvement of processes, tool, fixtures and gages to support work transition and ongoing production.

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS degree with 5-10+ years' experience

Desired Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills, project management, and the ability to work effectively with Sikorsky/Lockheed functional disciplines and Suppliers.

Solid working knowledge of Sikorsky programs, business systems, program management and functional disciplines. In depth knowledge of engineering drawings/technical data, manufacturing processes, tools, fixtures, inspection and quality assurance methods, etc. in addition to root cause analysis, process improvement techniques and cost analysis.

Strong working knowledge of Sikorsky product/component design, quality and manufacturing processes. Understanding of the principals of lean manufacturing, the six sigma, value stream mapping, and process certification.

Responsibilities also include the development of regional support strategies and working with the regional team to drive business growth as well as working closely with the customer support team to ensure that customers are satisfied with our support. The manager is also responsible for pricing strategies, interfacing with marketing on aftermarket offerings to develop comprehensive marketing plans, and working across the regional sales teams as well as directly with our customers to identify customer needs to capture new business. Once leads are identified, the manager will serve as the Capture Manager for the regional aftermarket pursuits and will lead the capture team on sales campaigns. The position will require a broad interface with multiple company disciplines including LMI and RMS business development, customer service, training, fleet analytics, engineering, purchasing, operations, aircraft program management, fleet management, field service representatives, logistics support, and technical publications. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop sales leads, establish win plans, and lead or co-lead the Capture Teams to capture sales opportunities. This includes the marketing, promotion and selling of all related products and services. The aftermarket sales manager will also be responsible for working with the regional sales team for the region to develop a portfolio ranging from spares agreements to upgrades/modifications including establishing a customer support services center and assisting in the support strategy. Develop business objectives, strategies, and plans for the region including but not limited to developing a funnel of opportunities, projected sales and revenues, and growth strategies to maximize market share. Assess competitive landscape and gather/maintain all intelligence data pertinent to Sikorsky strategy. Maintain detailed knowledge of economic, political, social, military and commercial factors associated per country to formulate local strategies. Build strong relationships with U.S. Embassies, customers, and in-country representatives. Be cognizant of offset requirements and help identify potential offset programs when required. Identify strategic partnering opportunities and engage in discussions/negotiations with potential partners per the process. Create and conduct Executive Management reviews to gain alignment and approval for sales and strategic targets. Regularly interface with appropriate stakeholders and align all pursuits and strategies with management. Be cognizant of all pursuits and ensure they are carried out with an overall eye on maintaining and building positive customer relationships. Assist in managing the sales representation process and own the communication with in-country sales representatives including assessment of their performance. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business related Field, an M.B.A. is preferred. 10+ plus years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in the rotary-wing market.
