The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for handling the company's end-to-end sourcing operations. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending and supply partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cost analysis and volume planning of product and service proposals from suppliers.

  • Actively identify and negotiate domestic and international partnerships and sources to advance Globe's competitive positon in the world marketplace.

  • Work with management to identify cost negotiation and pricing opportunities for margin improvement.

  • Develop supplier performance metrics, oversee tracking, evaluate results and work with suppliers to improve their performance.

  • Enhance and build out data models and spreadsheet macro tools enabling purchasing to operate more efficiently and effectively.

  • Perform supplier audits and financial deep dives determining fair and reasonable pricing along with supplier health.

  • Manage forecast of risks and opportunities for new procurements and engineering changes.

  • Recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.

  • Ensure contracts are thoroughly reviewed and terms and service levels are being adhered to for Globe's maximum benefit.

  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relations, selecting preferred suppliers and ensuring the most economical cost consistent with quality standards and specifications of purchased assets and resources.

  • Establish and maintain a strong team partnership between internal and external customers/suppliers ensuring that purchasing policies and procedures are followed while staying abreast of market trends and pricing.

  • Manage small team of buyers and communicate with every level of the organization to ensure success.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required. Industrial Engineering or other Engineering discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of ten years career experience required with a heavy focus on supply chain/sourcing.

  • Experience managing the global sourcing/supply chain function in a manufacturing environment with a large number of vendors/suppliers required.

  • Engineering experience in an equipment-manufacturing environment helpful.

  • Previous ERP System experience required. Made2Manage experience a plus.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, data and legal documents required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel, required.

  • Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members and outside sources required.

  • Must be results oriented with a people development affinity; proactive in attacking challenges and confident in setting and achieving stretch goals while keeping internal and external stakeholders aligned and informed of details.

  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and ethical standards.

The Strategic Account Manager - Automotive is an important role in driving digital revenue for large local accounts. Should be able to initiate and define interactive projects internally * Works with client to define objectives and parameters of new digital projects. Sells need for a project to client when required. * Exhibits technical competency (i.e. updated our CRM, completing client-ready proposals in PowerPoint, etc…) * Researches and provides insights to the clients * Has deep understanding of local market and competitive landscape * Attends local networking events to become clear media leader * Work effectively within a team-oriented and collaborative environment Qualifications: Required: * 3-4 years prior digital media account management experience * Strong organization skills * Communicates skillfully with varied communication style and is charismatic * Demonstrated ability to juggle priorities with boundaries on behalf of both the agency and client * Familiar with both online and offline work * Appreciates creative and design aesthetics * Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Preferred: * Bachelor's Degree * Automotive Sales experience * Digital Agency experience * A passion for Digital Advertising * Knowledge and use of consultative sales practices * Experience using SalesForce CRM or equivalent.
