Job Overview

As an Intern in the Aerospace Defense & Marine Business Unit, you will:

Gain real work experience, exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to pursue our Early Career rotational program upon completing the internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop RFPs/RFQs and obtain bids or information from vendors and evaluate the proposals/quotes.

• Identifies, evaluates, approves, and qualifies vendors who are reliable and can meet the requirements, standards, and specifications set by TE.

• Conducts competitive bidding, negotiation, and contracting processing; identifies technical specifications, understands parts & commodities; brings in continuous improvements; collaborates manufacturing product management, quality, and other functions.

• Negotiates contracts with shortlisted/selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements, ensuring that all procurement activities comply with TE procurement policies and external regulations.

• Needs to track supplier performance and compliance with expectations or as per agreed terms.

Analyze and evaluate external price trends and commodity costs to reduce cost by alternative sourcing, ensuring long-term agreements, securing discounts for volume purchases, recommending cost-saving proposals, and making v/s buy decisions.

• Interested in interviewing for ADM's 2-year full-time rotation program upon completion of the internship.

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Business Analytics from an accredited college or university

• Have previous internship or large project experience

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $17.64 - 36.75/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Our program provides a holistic experience for interns that targets professional development and personal growth.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10-12-week program, interns will be provided with:

Timeline

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
