The Law Enforcement Strategic Initiatives group is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a demonstrated record of executing dynamic, innovative and solution-driven initiatives to support strategic planning for and coordinate a portfolio of projects centering around law enforcement, safety, and integrity programs.

As a Strategic Safety Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategy and driving execution for operational excellence and policy alignment among cross functional teams which include Product, Policy, Engineering, Communications and more. This involves working across multiple complicated and often unrelated operational workflows, establishing relationships with partners across the company, and developing creative solutions to see through to execution. You will own communications on these issues, and be required to convey particular details to leadership as well as partner stakeholders, and to drive alignment and clarity across often competing priorities.

You will work with highly talented and experienced partner teams of subject matter experts on integrity, legal, safety, and engineering issues. You will be responsible for closely monitoring the key data and trends in the law enforcement and integrity space, and translating those into actionable insights for the strategic direction of the long-term program roadmap, and influencing the relevant teams to maximize impact for Facebook.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated skills in communication, organization, and presentations. This role requires experience in leveraging data and technology to direct and support execution.

STRATEGIC SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER (CREDIBLE THREATS AND INTEGRITY) RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive outcomes in a highly cross-functional setting to solve complex strategic safety problems

Develop strategy, frameworks and roadmaps for how to solve difficult, long-term problems and ongoing operational problems at scale

Leverage data informed insights to drive strategic analysis and problem-solving

Proactively identify issues and self direct work towards highest impact focus areas

Understand and shape technology requirements, goals and milestones of high priority projects

Drive accountability for ideas, deadlines and outcomes within the team and with stakeholders

Help establish team goals and work with multiple stakeholders on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and reporting results

Conduct ongoing communication of team programs and reduce surprises by proactively managing risks

Build subject matter expertise in the safety space, stay up to date on technology, and identify key partnerships to help define company roadmaps

Ability to travel internationally, and ability to travel up to 20% of the year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree
    7+ years experience in technology, safety, security or government industries in program/project management, business strategy, and/or management or strategy consulting

Analytical skills, with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights

Experience working with product, engineering or technical teams

Experience working across highly technical cross-functional teams

Experience developing long term strategy and executing tactical action plans to implement that strategy

Subject matter expertise in one or more safety topic areas including: child safety, human exploitation, terrorism, organized crime, regulated goods, etc.

Experience switching from program level to task level issues in driving projects to completion

Experience motivating and adapting to different working styles based on teams involved

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Degree

Subject matter expertise in child safety and/or human exploitation issues

Experience with SQL and performing analytics work or manipulating data sets
