This position manages, plans, and directs all administrative and financial activities for Strategic Pricing.

  • Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation by customer and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.

  • Assist with pricing negotiations of customers' proposals.

  • Facilitate eAuctions.

  • Conduct oral presentations, field research and cost revisions. This also requires thinking about the going rates for similar products in the industry, in order to remain competitive.

  • Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.

  • Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness.

  • Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system.

  • Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions.

  • Coach existing internal Vendor Managers on negotiation tactics and parameters.

  • Perform partnering with buyers, product managers and sales department to ensure integrated profit maximizing approach to market.

  • Analyze financial impact of price approach in view of overall history as well as profitability of customer.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in marketing and pricing for SaaS products including performing and interpreting quantitative research of pricing strategies.

  • Experience with a business intelligence and analytics software

  • Strong business acumen

  • Experience supporting one or more lines of business

  • The ability to understand and analyze complex software licensing agreements

  • Knowledge of software pricing strategies/metrics/trends

Responsibilities As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above * Be involved in the financial management of clients * Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients * Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen * Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges * Assist in the management and delivering of large projects * Train, coach, and supervise staff * Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues * Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 4 year(s) Preferred Qualifications: Certification(s) Preferred: CPA (preferred) or other professional certifications approved for the practice Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success to drive consistent execution of the Smart Pricing Strategy within PwC. The Pricing Manager will work under Tax Leaders to manage the Smart Pricing goals, identify pricing opportunities, develop and communicate industry leading practices, and work closely with engagement teams to strategize on pricing. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: * Having an innovative mindset on pricing strategy, development and execution; * Demonstrating proven ability to developing and implementing change management and adoption strategies; * Demonstrating proven experience with pricing analytics, reporting or business intelligence; * Partnering with finance and marketing teams with a dual focus on growth and strategic pricing; * Demonstrating ability to prepare, communicate, and present complex written and verbal materials for audiences of all levels; * Understanding stakeholder goals/objectives and connect and/or adapt pricing strategy as appropriate; * Demonstrating proven record of success structuring alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools; and, * Developing and/or leading pricing upskilling sessions. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to: * Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; * Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients; and, * Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success as a tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset. Preferred familiarity with a CRM system. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or proven record of success in automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to: * Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; * Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients; * Utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements; and, * Demonstrating knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies.
