LinkedIn is searching for a passionate Strategic Planning Manager to help enhance the long-term planning function within Global Customer Operations (GCO). This person will play a key role in driving the long term planning strategy for GCO to ensure an ideal scale for the organization while ensuring support for an ideal member and customer experience. Key responsibilities in this role include strengthening business relationships with Sales, Finance and Biz Opsby standing up a cross-functional Center of Excellence.
Additionally, the individual will design scalable processes for GCO together with external business partners to ensure holistic alignment of cross-functional priorities and efficient execution of long-term planning. The key objective of the role will be to build out annual planning into a standardized program that will execute a responsive, data-driven operating model to deliver impact against evolving strategic priorities across LinkedIn.
Serve as the strategic thought partner to leadership in transforming annual planning into a holistic, scalable program within GCO by defining standardized processes across all lines of business, building relationships with cross-functional partners, and managing executive level communication across stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional partners (FP&A, Sales and Product) to evolve the funding model and process to ensure all lines of business are efficient and effective in the annual planning.
Provide quarterly updates to GCO and Sales Leadership teams of any changes to existing plans as well as new intelligence on macroeconomic trends impacting the long-term plan
Work with the PRO team to enhance long term models as new inputs and data points are discovered
Develop data-driven business cases to support executive decisions on investments in strategic initiatives, channels and technologies that impact planning/staffing. You'll achieve this by synthesizing insights to tell an accurate story to leadership and specify business implications
Analyze data to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors and metrics. Develop in-depth understanding for what drives member & customer feedback with LinkedIn's consumer and enterprise lines of business.
Prepare and communicate executive level presentations for and serve as an expert on the drivers of member & customer feedback for leadership.
Determine headcount and financial recommendations and hiring needs for customer support teams.
Create capacity and econometric models for long-term planning
Support ad hoc requests & analyses to explore proposed business changes
Manage escalation process to ensure leadership and relevant stakeholders are well informed of changes to the plan (variance around inputs such as changes in sales, product plans etc.)
Create and maintain documentation to support day to day procedures
Present & articulate analyses to all levels of leadership and stakeholder audiences
6+ years of strategy & analytics experience
Experience in creating econometric, financial or operational forecasts and models.
Experience using data analytics tools
Bachelor's degree in science, mathematics, finance or other quantitative field.
Experience in econometrics
Experience at a strategy consulting firm or experience designing and rolling out strategic operating priorities at a technology company
Experience using advanced Excel modeling and relational databases, including building complex models from scratch and conducting sophisticated analyses.
Very strong analytical skills: Experience solving real world business and product problems using advanced Excel modeling and relational databases.
Practical business understanding with genuine passion for technology, data, and/or entrepreneurship is a must.
Clear communication: Able to articulately present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.
