Strategic Planning Analyst I (Remote)

General Summary

This new position will assist the COO and Finance with a variety of ongoing and ad-hoc financial analyses, with a specific focus on the operational performance of the Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Division & Department level operating plans & performance.

  • Prepare operating and marketing reviews for operation's management.

  • Prepare forecasting models and reports specifying results.

  • Prepare established/recurring analysis to quantify the impact of operational activities.

  • Contribute to the improvement of the business with ideas.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Revenue Management, Business, Accounting or an equivalent technical field.

  • Relevant work experience in financial analysis, marketing, operations analysis.

  • Must be technically skilled and have experience using data analysis tools including Windows and MS Office products.

  • Must be able to execute complex formulas and pivot tables using Microsoft Excel.

  • Must have the ability to train quickly in other software programs.

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Must be able to think critically and possess strong statistical, financial, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently, be detailed and results oriented, have excellent time management skills, and able to work collaboratively with others.

  • Must have good understanding of the general makeup of financial statements; familiarity with general financial principles.

  • Must be proactive and able to identify/resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Must have the ability to communicate complex ideas to co-workers and internal clients; strong writing and communication skills.

  • Must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Deltek CostPoint, Cognos, and standard databases.

Work Environment & Conditions

This position is required to work in an office setting using a computer for extended periods of time. Personal involvement and exposure, including travel, to other locations is required. Entry to laboratory environment will require use of PPE.
