Strategic Planning Analyst

As the Strategic Planning Analyst, you will assist in data gathering, analysis and planning in support of optimizing CoorsTek's investments in inventory, equipment, and facilities to drive the company's continued growth and profitability. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of reporting packages, presentations, and ad hoc analysis, and support Business Case development and analysis to enable data driven decision making. In this role, you will consult with multiple levels of the organization and support cross functional strategic efforts by providing in-depth analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting and analyze facility KPI performance: breakdown drivers, identify opportunities and track progress.

• Support Business Case development for growth, productivity, and expansion projects to enable prioritization, accountability, and improved financial performance.

• Understand current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational enhancements.

• Design and develop reports, and visualizations to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Support balance sheet analyses, including inventory and capital, to help drive culture of total commitment for improving the company's cash conversion cycle for further reinvestment.

• Assist with inventory analysis to drive inventory levels and positioning linked to planned production, sales forecasts and company strategic objectives.

• Work collaboratively with commercial, operations, finance, and IT to gather data and deliver insight into trends, opportunities, and risks.

• Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding efficiencies and profitability improvement ideas.

• Provide ad hoc analysis and benchmarking to multiple customers across the organization.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

Education & Experience:

• Engineering, Finance or Business degree.

• Minimum of 2+ years of related experience.

• Experience in manufacturing highly desired.

• Experience with global operations preferred.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in developing reports utilizing a variety of tools, including MS Office Suite, Microsoft Access or similar relational data base tools, and in-house systems.

• Understanding of foreign exchange and capital lookbacks a plus.

• Proficient in Excel with strong skills in pivot tables, modeling, and other advanced functions.

• Good analytical and quantitative capabilities.

• Excellent communications skills as well as the ability to analyze, interpret and present complex material in a clear and succinct manner.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate several ongoing projects and deliverables simultaneously under tight and competing due dates with limited resources.

• Highly motivated/self-directed individual willing to take initiative required.

• Ability to work with and communicate with all levels in the organization.

• Experience working with a globally diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary: USD 71,192.00 - USD 93,973.00
