Dolby's consumer entertainment and cinema businesses are bringing Dolby's breakthrough technologies, powering the world's top movies, TV shows, music, games, and live sports to more places around the world across a wider range of consumer experiences and devices.

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Partnership Leader who can harness the power of the Dolby brand and our diverse technology portfolio. Your mission will be to champion the integration of our technologies into leading mobile, PC, app, home theater, and gaming devices and services. You'll forge robust working relationships with household names in these sectors, aiming to propel their businesses forward while simultaneously amplifying Dolby's opportunities, influence, and revenues. In this newly established role, you will collaborate with some of Dolby's most strategic partners.

The individual in this role will be instrumental in integrating Dolby's cutting-edge experiences into our partners' products, services, and content ecosystems. Working in concert with the Business Group, Engineering, and our Advanced Technology Group, this leader will spearhead initiatives that harness Dolby's innovation engine. The aim is to accelerate the integration of our key partners' advanced capabilities, thereby enabling the swift introduction of new Dolby technologies into the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex technical, business, and marketing interactions between Dolby & Key Partners with intention of expanding usage of Dolby's technologies, and attribution of experiences to Dolby.

  • Thought Leadership: Delivery of vision, strategy and path towards helping create a future state for business, using that to inspire people to deliver to our largest partners.

  • Be the conduit to create new and other ancillary business opportunities for Dolby through connecting innovations relevant to other customers, seeing all the moving pieces, and adjusting the value proposition accordingly.

  • Fostering and inspiring Dolby's talent to create and deliver. Be the connective tissue across all of Dolby to find unique ways and opportunities to delight our key partners, bringing people together, creating the urgency and inspiration across Dolby to activate.

  • Architect a vision for successfully partnering across all relevant intersection points between Dolby and strategic partners, prioritize and drive the engagements, and eradicate any barriers to deal closure.

  • Drive global teams to execute on account visions and create opportunities to expand business relationships with our partners. This role is highly visible to Dolby executive management.

  • Identify, structure, negotiate and close revenue-generating relationships.

  • Cultivate, manage and close pipeline of multiple prospects to aggressive deadlines, report on progress.

  • Ensure excellent customer service by managing and directing sales, sales support operations, technical support and other necessary corporate resources as required.

Requirements

  • Passionate about building and maintaining meaningful relationships with key customers and targets. Existing contacts helpful, relationship skills essential.

  • 10+ years related experience in the technology industry.

  • Solid history of revenue building and excellent negotiation and analytical skills across contractual, technical and financial areas.

  • International work experience/perspective. Strong coordination skills across borders and business functions.

  • Goal-oriented, autonomous, and structured approach to work; team spirit; personal initiative.

  • Strong understanding of several of the following: Consumer Electronics, mobile, and CE ecosystems and dynamics, how manufacturers/developers/on-line service providers are structured, how they make money, trends, development cycles, and decision-making criteria.

  • Comfortable overseeing and leading both technical and business engagements.

  • Ability to assemble, drive and motivate virtual teams to achieve results.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

  • Highly analytical, there are many moving parts and competitors vying for similar market position.

  • Highly persuasive with an ability to drive toward mutually agreeable outcomes.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is 201,800 - 246,500, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
