Facebook is seeking a news media professional to join the News Partnerships team as a strategic partnerships manager. This role will identify, plan and execute initiatives that build relationships with DC-based news organizations.

A demonstrated passion for the news and publishing industry and how it intersects with technology are musts for this job. An understanding of news business models and where opportunities lie for partners building a business on Facebook is key.

The Media Partnerships team is the external arm of Facebook and works with the world's largest and most exciting organizations on high-profile projects across the full suite of Facebook Inc. products. This role will be based in our Washington, DC office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account management: Become the primary point of contact for and maintain strong relationships with Facebook's key partners, helping them achieve their business goals

Manage strategy, implementation and optimization of Facebook's partnerships with DC-based news organizations and political news publishers

Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high-impact social integrations, and drive operational management of partnership projects

Be an internal advocate within Facebook for partners, including with product teams

Work with relevant internal teams to ensure that Facebook is taking partner input into account in product and policy decisions

Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or higher
    7+ years of experience in News/Publishing, audience engagement, partner management and/or business development

Project management experience, with experience leading and handling multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline

Communication and presentation experience and experience clarifying and summarizing issues

Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally

As a Senior Manager of Partner Marketing at EVERFI, you will play a lead role in driving marketing strategy for customers (partners) in the Global Partnerships vertical. You will develop customer communications, plan and execute customer launch events, and provide marketing support for seasonal customer marketing campaigns. Your primary responsibilities will be: * Become fluent in the Global Partnerships marketplace dynamics and EVERFI and our customers' role in driving learning opportunities for K-12 students * Develop customer communications with tailored messaging for EVERFI's various customer Networks (Health & Wellness, STEM, Digital Wellness, etc.) * Lead planning for customer launch events in schools, including logistics, design, signage and attendee management, social media strategy, and drafting of press materials. * Provide thought leadership and support across marketing team for scalable best practices that increase partner engagement and drive partner value. * Partner with Customer Success team to develop and execute marketing programs that drive the launch and ongoing coordination of customer programs. * Work with corporate marketing team and external vendors to lead development of creative assets including collateral items, video case studies and other marketing materials. * Generate content (posts, social tiles) for EVERFI's Social Media handles.
