Strategic Market Manager Transportation/Automotive market
The Strategic Market Manager (SMM) will be accountable for identification, creation and development of new growth opportunities for the business on a regional basis within the Transportation/Automotive market. The SMM will work closely with the R&D, TS&D and sales organization to help articulate the value proposition of the technology offering and help develop the market strategy associated with each technology/product launch. The SMM will define the NA regional marketing strategy including value chain, customer segmentation, market segmentation and channel requirements necessary to build a competitive advantage and increase profitability of the business. This person will also be accountable to become knowledgeable about and prioritize opportunities for new businesses/technologies within Transportation markets. The individual will work with other team members across the globe to create a robust pipeline of growth projects, develop data to support the growth potential and analyze risk. He or she will participate fully in prioritization & resource decisions leading to achievement of growth goals.
What will your day to day look like?
Devise & develop a NA regional marketing plan to position Huntsman Polyurethanes as a premier solutions supplier to the Transportation/Automotive industry.
Develop an implementation strategy/product launch to penetrate new growth opportunities in target application segments.
Assume the lead role for the Regional Transportation Market Management Team.
Lead and support the organization in Voice of the Customer (VOC) and blueprinting new market opportunities
Determine future product needs for the business with validated value propositions.
Develop and implement a brand strategy for existing and new product offerings.
Define key partners, capabilities and strategies to leverage Huntsman's strengths and relationships into new businesses.
Work in a "three in a box" fashion with R&D, TS&D and Commercial to achieve business success on new projects at defined applications/accounts.
Work closely with the other regional market managers responsible for the Transportation segment
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
BS in Business (marketing), Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. MBA or formal business training is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience, with previous marketing and or new business development experience preferred.
A high sense of energy and excitement.
Strong bias for action and ability to adapt quickly to new or ambiguous situations.
Excellent strategic, project management, analytical and creative problem-solving ability.
Innovation experience strongly desired
