Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting or similar.

  • Experience writing SQL queries and retrieving data from relational databases

Preferred qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software

  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and the ability to communicate with a senior management team

  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will serve as the Finance Analyst for 2 key verticals within Large Customer sales (LCS) - Retail and Travel. You will work closely with the regional finance teams and have the opportunity to partner cross functionally on competitive insights and forward looking analysis and guidance on the interplay between different trends impacting Retail strategy and Travel recovery given that these verticals make up a significant portion of the LCS revenue portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Drive insights and analysis to support the Americas Retail and Travel business and shape business strategy, in partnership with Americas Sales leadership

  • Leverage technical expertise around KPIs and revenue performance drivers across sub segments within Retail and Travel to develop business recommendations

  • Interact with other Sales Finance, Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to assure strategic and analytical alignment, as well as data consistency and efficiency

  • Manage and assist with various ad hoc projects

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages one or all of the following: budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting. Establishes overall departmental priorities and ensures that all deadlines are met. Supervises finance staff including training and managing job performance. Reviews and approves balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and supporting schedules and standard consolidated reporting packs. Reviews and approves certain PeopleSoft and HFM monthly journal entries. Conducts other special financial and business studies and other duties as assigned by management. Produces a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning unit. Participates in the research, development and preparation of accounting policy and procedures, as required. May act as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications. Manages special projects and prepares presentations for senior management. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
