The Department of Economic Security Department of Technology Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Engagement Manager (SR Business Analyst). This position will work as a liaison between the Division of Technology Services and other Divisions within the Department of Economic Security including internal and external stakeholders and customers. This position will work as an analyst involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems. The person in this position will interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. The person in this position will gather information, data and documents to document, and analyze business needs and requirements.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.

  • If the position is required to drive on state business, the position will require the possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).

Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience in business analysis (or equivalent experience).

  • Prefer 5+ years of relevant engagement/project management experience, in a professional services environment.

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification - Lean or Six-sigma certification.

  • Scrum Master

  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired state employees

  • Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

This team also significantly partners with our Onboarding teams, Sales and Product Management to drive enhancements to our service, processes and product. * Monitors workflow using key indicators and staff interaction to ensure that deadlines and accuracy requirements are met. * Represents the department on high-exposure or high-impact teams and projects to ensure that Ongoing Client, Financial Advisor, and department needs are met and team actions are in line with departmental goals of superior client service and client retention. * Provides technical expertise to solve problems regarding internal, field office, and client issues; ensures that quality service is provided to the field offices, clients, and Financial Advisors. * Follows through on high-impact 401(k) ongoing client service issues to ensure that corrective action is taken quickly and accurately to minimize financial risk to Paychex. * Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure that departmental needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs, and other resources. * Ensures that strategic account service model is exceeding client expectations by analyzing indicators and ensuring that retention and participation rates are better than overall rates. * Handles escalated client issues and ensures appropriate follow up and resolution with all parties involved internal and external. * Makes recommendations to HRS Managers regarding the development of policies and procedures; identifies and implements processing efficiencies and opportunities for enhanced levels of service to our clients and partners. * Travels to on-site client visits as necessary to build and strengthen relationships.
