Strategic Captures Director
Strategic Captures Director will be responsible for focusing efforts and maintaining progress in the pursuit of large business opportunities ($100mil plus) across a variety of markets in the BOS, Logistics, Maintenance, and Facilities functional areas, working collaboratively with program management, contracts, business development and finance.
Drive opportunity from the capture decision to the contract award. Formulate, communicate and implement integrated capture strategy, pricing, teaming, competitive intelligence/analysis, client relations, and technical solutions/concept development
Support overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities. Responsible for specific capture activities such as win strategy, technical approach, teaming, competitive intelligence, and contributing to pricing strategy
Brief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process.
Identify leads and new business opportunities leveraging past relationships/accounts.
Establish solid relationships and partnerships with key prime contractor organizations and sub-contractors on existing and new programs
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client
Leads capture/proposal teams, mentors capture managers.
CRUCIAL REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES
Minimum of five years conducting successful business development and leading capture teams in the Federal and DoD Government environment
Demonstrated ability to drive capture and generate revenue
Orchestrates bid strategies, technical and management approaches, oversight of the development of the cost volume and teaming strategy, as well as capture and proposal strategy
Leads capture efforts to secure new contracts or task order business
Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented environment
Must have exceptional documentation and writing skills
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
BS degree and 7 years military / federal government contracting experience or 15+ years military and federal government contracting experience in lieu of degree.
Prior military service preferred, background in OCONUS opportunity pursuits desired.
5+ years of DoD business development/equivalent experience desired.
Established contact network within the DoD BOS community.
Working knowledge of the DoD procurement processes, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Understanding of military maintenance, logistics and operations and the overall defense market.
