Strategic Alliance Program Manager EMEA
As the EMEA Strategic Alliance Partner Program Manager you will be part of a global channel organisation focused on activating Equinix's top go-to-market initiatives with Alliances. Predominantly you are responsible for oversight and coordination of existing Equinix Strategic Alliances (AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, Google) and driving our joint Channel Go-To-Market in collaboration with Equinix's business development teams, EMEA Strategic Alliance management, EMEA Channel team as well as selected Equinix Resellers. In addition, you will assess, drive and coordinate channel-related engagement with Emerging Alliances to evaluate long term potential.
This position is EMEA-based and focused but will work in conjunction with the global Alliance team as to multi-region activation Alliance partnerships. Additional responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to Regional Partner Development Managers in all aspects of their jobs, coordination of cross functional teams (sales, marketing, technical, operations) needed to support Alliance partners, and collaboration on performance objectives and measurement.
Reporting to the VP GAM, Networks & Channel, this role requires a strong balance of business development, program design, program oversight, cross-region coordination, leadership skills and results measurement. Expertise as to the specific Strategic Alliances the evolution in their business models and key drivers/objectives is required. In addition, strong channel background is needed.
The person in this role must be able to work in partnership with several adjacent teams in Equinix (channel team, direct sales, marketing, solutions architects, business development, sales operations) and in partnership with partner program team members in the field to execute measurable key success factors with the partner (pipeline & bookings through the program), with our direct sales organization and with various reseller partners.
The right candidate will possess a combination of strong partner program management experience, an understanding of business development, financial contribution models, and ROI calculations. Understanding IT services and shifting cloud consumption models (networking, cloud services and hybrid cloud solutions) are key areas of knowledge required.

Responsibilities / Skills
Execute on Alliance partner objectives set by global and regional management
Adhere to and support various program guidelines, rules, and measures
Assist in the development of required support materials for the program
Measure and report on success of assigned Alliance partners
Direct and advice local Alliance Partner Manager in their work with the Alliances; Be the bridge between the Global Alliance team and local channel teams
Be the internal and external SME on the joint offering between Equinix and each Alliance partner. Present and educate both internal Equinix staff, Alliance staff, and resellers/GSI partners with an Alliance portfolio
Help identify potential partnering opportunities with other Alliances
Help develop, maintain, and strengthen business relationships with assigned Alliance partners
Translate Equinix Platform and Cloud Exchange Fabric capabilities into high value joint solutions for target partner types in order to repeat and scale the go-to-market engine. Help clearly articulate the key drivers and value points for partner decision makers that lead to partner adoption of, and loyalty to, Equinix services.

Multi-lingual skills desirable
Expertise as to Strategic Alliance business models (hyperscalers) and working knowledge of IT infrastructure and Cloud environments required.
Ability to design and present business plans, track and articulate program progress, design and document program guidelines for distribution throughout the organization (all levels) and for external use.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Organizational and priority-setting skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Bring energy and passion to the role
Skilled in MS Office products and Salesforce.com strongly preferred
At least a Bachelor's degree
Ability to travel 50% of the time
