Role and Responsibility:

  • Develop and provide proactive, high-level account support and enhance relationship to key CareSource strategic partner(s)

  • Identify, cultivate, manage and develop deep partner relationships with all key stakeholders, including executive level at strategic partners

  • Analyze market and consumer trends to develop innovative tactics with strategic partners to improve access for member care

  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop product communication materials for distribution to strategic partners

  • Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of industry. Responsible for industry changes that affect business strategy

  • Lead development and execution of new business opportunities which support the overall company strategy

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners or potential partners to ensure member satisfaction and accessibility to ensure continued member growth for company

  • Serve as the strategic partner's advocate internally and externally, anticipating and resolving problems with the strategic partner. Utilizes partner feedback to determine and recommend best practices

  • Exhibit continual strategic partner focus by thoroughly understand needs, concerns and priorities. Manage expectations internally and externally and find ways to add value

  • Collaborate cross functionally in the development of strategic partner specific strategies for enhanced engagement

  • Ensure management is informed of strategic partner's status, opportunities for relationship enhancement and unresolved systemic issues

  • Monitor and manage the achievement of strategic partner's specific performance guarantees

  • Identify internal procedures that adversely affect strategic partner's relationship with CareSource and collaborate with internal areas to build consensus and to initiate and implement improvements

  • Facilitate and or be an active participant in all necessary meetings related to strategic partner engagement, quality and performance

  • Negotiate and re-negotiate key strategic partner's contracts

  • Perform any other job related instructions, as requested

Requirements

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales/Marketing, Communications, Business or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required

  • Master Degree is preferred

  • Minimum of three (3) years of contract negotiations experience is required

  • Minimum of eight (8) years in client services, account management, business development or sales experience is required; at least three (3) years of experience within the healthcare industry is preferred

  • Project management experience is preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook

Licensure / Certification:

  • Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver's license record check. If the driver's license record results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if you have started employment in this position, your employment in this position will be terminated

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit/stand for long periods of time

  • Required to travel to strategic partner's office(s) and will be exposed to weather conditions depending on geographic location

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) role is responsible for implementing the direct sales process with selected Strategic Accounts within the Pioneer Services Business.
