The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for building rapport with prospective customers to become their trusted technology partner, thereby learning, and understanding their customer’s business needs and translating those needs into technical offerings and solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to generate sales pipeline directly by cold calling, obtaining referrals, and networking, consistently building open opportunities to hit quarterly, and yearly metrics. Highly motivated, self-starter with a “hunter” mentality.

Utilizes solution selling and to generate opportunities with targeted companies within the territory. Has the ability to accurately forecast business and meet or exceed assigned sales quotas. Outstanding track record in achieving targeted sales results.

Proactive management in CRM for pipeline and customer tracking. Professional appearance and oral skills set to present confidently to senior-level decision makers positioning managed solutions as a service. Team oriented, highly organized, big picture and solution mind set.

Understands value driven sales process and number of prospect touch points to build long term customer relationship. Ability to listen to prospect/customer needs and recognize when to pull in necessary resources for solution recommendation and asking the prospect/customer for their business. Takes responsibility & ownership for data integrity and accuracy of work products.

Creative with business planning and implementing sales initiatives. Customer focused (internal & external) and responsive to customer and company requirements. Other duties as assigned by Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to generate new business from effective prospecting. Ability to manage daily tasks to ensure daily/weekly/monthly metrics are always met. Knowledge of the various technologies used by businesses and how they impact a company’s bottom line.

Ability to leverage multiple prospecting methods Understanding of various technologies, solutions, and architectures. Knowledge and practical application of effective sales techniques. Familiarity with common business metrics that drive business success.

Understanding of how technology is leveraged to solve critical business issues. Understanding of telecommunications and associated terminology. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office products and CRM/customer communication systems.

Self-motivated and results driven with strong organizational skills. Ingrained sense of the importance of customer satisfaction. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively present information using a consultative approach.

Ability to identify and analyze business requirements to craft technical solutions that meet customers’ needs. Ability to build strong relationships and network with prospective customers. Ability to handle objections and use sales techniques to overcome obstacles.

Ability to travel regularly to prospect and customer locations within the territory. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Strategic Account Executive interacts frequently with potential customers and vendors as part of the sales process and interacts frequently with internal team members to coordinate customer success.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent GED required. Four-year degree or equivalent combined education and work experience in technology/telecommunications preferred. Minimum of three years in a successful sales position.

Previous sales experience in technology is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have personal phone for constant communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Sitting/Standing Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. Up to 60% Walking Must be able to move to set up trade shows and attend appointments with existing and prospective customers. Up to 40% Lifting/Carrying Occasionally loads and sets up for trade shows, provides sales information to customers and moves up to 50 pounds of customer hardware.

Up to 10% Handling/Grasping/Feeling Must be able to operate phone and computer to prepare quotes and other work product and to interact with others. Up to 100% Seeing Must have visual acuity to perform tasks on computer, service customers, resolve issues and present information to current and prospective customers. Up to 100% Talking/Hearing Frequently communicates with prospects, customers and internal team members to present information, troubleshoot issues and respond to questions.

Up to 100% Working Conditions Normal working conditions in an office environment absent extreme factors. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet work demands. Travel is required to meet with prospective customers and to attend trade shows or other events.
