The Executive Transportation Supervisor is primarily responsible for the safe and secure transportation of the corporation's senior executives on a daily basis. The Executive Transportation Supervisor will take full responsibility of not only their scheduled trips but that of the rest of the fleet also. The Executive Transportation Supervisor upon notification of a trip will consult maps or navigation devices for optimal routes, an review with the driver assigned and assign pre-trip runs to insure the best time, safest routes, etc. for executive travel. The Executive Transportation Supervisor will not only drive a company vehicle and will be responsible for receiving status updates regarding when maintenance is required (fuel level, oil change status, tire pressure, scheduled maintenance, washing & detail work, service appointments) and take full responsibility for scheduling maintenance prudently around scheduled trips. You will exercise extreme confidentiality as you may be exposed to information that is not meant for your knowledge and that could have potentially serious ramifications to Vertex Pharmaceuticals if such information were to become public and will stress as much to the rest of the fleet. None of the Drivers will fraternize with Executives, Contractors, or Employees. The Executive Transportation Supervisor will demand exceptional grooming and hygiene habits (including being free of body odor) for the fleet of drivers as they will be in close quarters with Executives and their guests. Executive Transportation Supervisor will ensure the fleet is clean shaven and in full Chauffeur attire for each ride. The Executive Transportation Supervisor will ensure that the other drivers are maintaining extensive logs pertaining to their trips performed and will implement a system to check on such. REQUIRED SKILLS: * Positive attitude * Strong communication skills (both written and oral). * 5 years' experience liaising with senior executive level employees * Must be able to comfortably drive in all weather conditions. * Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality * Possess a sense of urgency and exceptional problem solving skills * Impeccable personal hygiene and uniform appearance * Able to extricate the above skills from the fleet of drivers to provide a seamless transportation from notification and scheduling to final drop off destination. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the safe and efficient transport of Executive's in passenger SUV's, shuttles or vans. * Must be able to work a Monday through Friday schedule with the occasional weekend trip or maintenance appointment (Mandatory) * Operating vehicle in a safe and lawful manner, while observing all traffic regulations. * Operating vehicle in a courteous manner, recognizing that the route traveled in heavily congested and residential areas. * Understanding the different preferred routes of each individual Executive member * Follows scheduled routes, chartered routes or responds to requests from management for unscheduled pick-ups or drop-offs. * Reporting all potential service & maintenance problems to the Supervisor in a timely fashion & ensuring proper upkeep of vehicle. * Carry out other tasks as designated by Manager/s * Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior lighting, air conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, etc. prior to driving the vehicles. * Ensures that both inside and outside of the vehicle are properly cleaned. * Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled. * Accurately completes driver trip sheet for each shift with information including driver number, vehicle number, number of passengers, pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, destinations, etc. * Accurately inputs trip information to monthly metrics worksheet * Ability to work independently and under pressure while providing a high level of customer service. * Strict confidentiality and situational sensitivity a must * Proficient technical skills utilizing MS Office Suite, GPS and iPhone. * General administrative and clerical support. * Ensure the physical safety and security of the facility by enforcing company policies and procedures. * Assist the Vertex Security Program during dire or emergency situations PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Valid MA driver's license with a clean driving record is also a must * At least 21 years of age. * Experience/trained in safe driving/safety/personal protection, would be an asset. * Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test. * As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of required License at all times, and must carry the license at all times while on duty. * Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills. * Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites. * Candidate must be willing and available to work on an "on call" basis periodically or as a part of weekly work assignments. * Prior experience in executive security assignments necessary Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Officers.
