Stores Technician

Position Overview

The stores technician position supports the Greensboro plant requirements with a solid understanding of SAP and Coupa usage for Stores, Inventory, and Receiving. The Technician will also need to be able to search and locate parts using sight, Manufacturer part information, SAP search methods. The technician must also be able to operate mobile equipment to put materials away and to retrieve them for issuing.

• Provide support for the Stores coordinator and Maintenance team by locating and assembling parts kits for planned jobs.

• Work with Storeroom Leader daily to ensure the storeroom is organized and clean.

• Receiving, checking in materials in SAP.

• Non-Stores items

• Notify requestor that order is in Stores.

• Inventory items

• Create and generate parts labels, tags, apply to the parts.

• Place received parts into assigned Stores location (Bin Shelf, rack).

• Participate in monthly cycle counting of inventory.

• Organize parts, materials for better search / locating.

• Assembling parts and materials into Job Kits.

• Ship / return authorize materials back to vendors.

• Operate both a sit-down lift and a stand-up lift.

• Familiar with SAP Stores / inventory transactions.

• Familiar with Coupa for receiving non stores items.

Location Profile

Novelis' Greensboro facility is located in Greensboro Georgia. With 140 employees it is the first stand-alone used beverage can recycling facility in the company now responsible for pioneering a majority of Novelis' recycling technologies.
