APD TACACHALE - FOOD SERVICE
This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Establishes and maintains an inventory of supplies, materials, equipment and to be provided to the Food Service departments within Tacachale. Reviews daily, weekly and/or monthly inventory levels to ensure an acceptable level of inventory materials and supplies are maintained.
Initiate purchase orders for stores items to maintain stock levels and obtains special supplies and materials as required. Ensures proper and timely receiving in MFMP (My Florida Market Place) and documents are forwarded to Accounting within the established timeframe.
Inspects and organizes the Food Service dry and refrigerated/frozen storage areas for space, utilization, cleanliness and safety standards. Conducts physical inventory of stores items on a periodic basis.
Rotates stock and disposes of outdated inventory and supplies as needed to maintain a quality product. Coordinates the receipt and inspection of supplies. Responsible for the loading, packaging and distribution of supplies.
Responsible for filling pull sheets, ensures the quality of the product and the accuracy of the count. Ensures supplies are issued from stock and delivered to Food Service Department in a timely manner.
Informs Food Service Director II, Operations Management Consultant II of delivery discrepancies or problems with inventory. Maintains a working knowledge of the computer system utilized in food service operation.
Maintains a safe, orderly and clean working environment by observing good storage procedures. Assists in the care and maintenance of the storeroom supplies and equipment.
Provides advice and technical assistance to other Stores Analysts and Purchasing staff regarding stock related issues. Works tray line, dish room and pot room as assigned
Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, INCLUDING UTILIZATION OF EQUIPMENT:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to operate a fork lift.
Knowledge of record-keeping procedures.
Ability to conduct physical inventory of items.
Ability to establish and maintain inventory controls records.
Ability to prepare and review purchase requisitions.
Ability to communicate effectively.
A valid Florida Driver's License to apply for this position. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver's license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have "Corrective Lenses Restricted," are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
This position is located at a 24- hour facility. Working hours: 40 Hours in Workweek.
