Storeroom Attendant

The Senior Attendant must be able to work safely and independently handle multiple tasks within the storeroom.

• Ability to work Safely. Ensures the storeroom is kept clean and orderly.

• Issue stock and non-stock parts to proper departments with correct job coding.

• Internal and external customer service skills required to serve the mill.

• Conducts physical inventories on a routine schedule in the computer (Oracle ERP system)

• Accuracy and accountability for all actions

• Receive stock and non-stock parts without error.

• Must be detail oriented

• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Issue and manage plant repairs, fill out bill of ladings properly.

Essential Skills and qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent required

Experience Forklift trained is preferred.

Physical Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.

Requirements Must be capable of working in a steel mill environment.

Skill Must have good analytical abilities, along with sound written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and be self-motivated. Must demonstrate leadership skills and ability to work within a team structure.

Availability Must be available to work all shifts (turn shift), weekends and holidays as required.

Safety Works in a manner consistent with established safety standards. Observes and monitors safety conditions. Corrects or reports any hazards
