Will work a rotating weekend and some early mornings.Additional Hours:Will rotate working an early morning run (6:00 AM) to pick up mail from USPS. Experience handling consumable and specimen containers.Computer experience with Word, Excel and networked systems. Possession of appropriate driver's license as required and must meet U of Iowa Driving Policy requirements.Duties:Receive freight and deliveries on dock.Deliver consumables to labs and other areas per requisitions.Return clinical specimen coolers to facilities.Pick up and deliver specimens from UIHC and mail from USPS.Scan packing slips and mileage receipts for record retention.Assist/support additional work in Central Services with test kit manufacturing and prepping of analytical testing glassware.Responsible for loading and unloading supplies and moving carts full of supplies.Must be able to transport and handle boxes up to 50 lbs. in weight.MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:1.One year of work experience in storekeeping, accounting, business administration or job related work, or2.Any combination of such experience and post high school education that totals one year.3.Possession of appropriate driver's license as required.Before applying for the STOREKEEPER II position, please read the Minimum QualificationsBefore you can apply for a specific opening, you must have an ACTIVE ELECTRONIC MERIT EMPLOYMENT FILE with UI HR Employment Services.
