Using important tools such as company standards, Blueprint directives, dressing of mannequins, forms, signing, and accent lighting you will take the store environment to the next level.   • Implement visual merchandising presentation standards and guidelines at store level that are consistent with company standards and directives. Includes all seasonal strategy, bimonthly directives and division directives that include fixture usage, placement and standards, dressing of mannequins, forms, signing, accent lighting and all related activities.

  • Assist Visual Manager in directing the communication, implementation and follow-up of visual issues (sales events, visual set-ups, shop installations, promotions, special events) with ASM's and sales associates within the store to insure visual efforts are maintained and compliment the merchandising efforts.

  • Plan, install and maintain visual setups, shop installations, promotional events and signing per BSS seasonal events, bimonthly directives and division directives to compliment architecture and department layout of the store.

  • Install 22"x28" promotional event signing in sign holders at entrances to stores and other collateral based on Promotional Sales Event Signing Standards.

  • Participate in daily/weekly walk through with Visual Manager and Store Manager to review any visual issues that need to be addressed.

  • Maintain visual merchandising storage area and room to prevent any damage or destruction of existing visual collateral or tools.

  • Choose merchandise and accessories to be presented on mannequins and bust forms throughout the store to compliment corporate fashion trends.

  • Press, steam and remove tags to prepare merchandise for installation on mannequins and bust forms.

  • Dress mannequins, bust forms and drapers using specified corporate guidelines on a regular schedule according to BSS seasonal events, bimonthly directives or division directives, or as merchandise availability dictates.

  • Responsible for the installation of all seasonal trim installation based on Corporate Visual directives.

  • Order and install vendor lettering, graphics and plaques by demand center as needed or prescribed in the corporate vendor listing.

  • Adjust and target all accent lighting that are complementing mannequins, table forms, strike zones, feature walls, end walls and fixturing along main aisles.

  • Inspect/check all incoming receipts and transfers of visual merchandising items, fixtures, collateral and supplies.

  • Perform daily visual maintenance of all areas. Work with Store Manager, ASM's and sales associates to see that daily standards are executed and maintained.

  • Assist in special events and in-store promotions as directed.

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education &

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to adhere to all policy and procedure manuals

  • Basic knowledge of tools and measuring devices

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights

  • Ability to lift and carrying props

  • Ability to assemble displays and hang signage at elevated heights

  • Ability to operate a computer

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent years of experience

  • Specific Degree: BS Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Architecture, Interior Design or Art Related Field

  • Specific Certifications: N/A

  • Specific Training: In Store Visual Merchandising

Inventory Coordinator's will review inbound product deliveries and work schedules to ensure delivery coverage. They will also maintain backroom standards by accurately processing freight and taking full account of physical inventory to ensure product is continuously flowing to the sales floor. This team member is fully accountable for annual physical inventory of the store. The Inventory Coordinator will also embody characteristics and perform duties of Brand Ambassador, Operational Excellence, Business Acumen, and Inspirational Leader. BRAND AMBASSADOR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE * Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet the customer's needs * Asks open-ended questions to learn about customers' project needs and escorts them to the desired product's location * Engages in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE * Performs on-hand counts of physical inventory throughout the back room and sales floor to ensure all inventory is accounted for * Receives and unloads truck deliveries with close attention to detail and ensures freight is organized and undamaged * Processes freight received from trucks to ensure all merchandise is accounted for and ready to be sent to the sales floor when necessary * Cleans and organizes the back room and maintains high standards in the cleanliness and quality of their work area * Stocks shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining a high level of productivity and close attention to detail BUSINESS ACUMEN * Consults with store management regarding inventory discrepancy and product flow issues to reduce shrink * Merchandises product in a way that catches the customer's attention and promotes sales * Constantly improves processes and seeks innovative ways to create a better flow of inventory throughout the store INSPIRATIONAL LEADER * Works closely with store management to ensure that incoming freight has a strategic plan for movement onto the sales floor * Communicates freight plan to other team members and promotes whole store participation in the movement of freight * Partners with store management to align scheduled hours with the inbound product flow to create full workload coverage * Monitors team member work practices and provides guidance on receiving/stocking store policies QUALIFICATIONS * Must be 18 years or older * Preferred: high school diploma or GED * 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer centric environment * Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Stand during an entire shift (other than normal break time) * Continuously walk around all areas of the store throughout shift * Read written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens * Orally communicate with customers and other team members on consistent basis throughout their shift * Input data on computer keyboard and handheld units * Use 2-way radios (hear incoming messages and provide verbal response) * Push/pull merchandise with appropriate equipment (carts, bins, etc.) to and from backroom and sales floor * Lift, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks * Bend down and reach above head * Climb and descend ladder * Individually lifts up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and group lift 50+ lbs.- 97 lbs.
