Assists with scheduling and supervision of Store Support Team Members as well with the as day-to-day flow of the department. Supports the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) to ensure smooth operation of the Store Support Team.

All Whole Foods Market Retail jobs require ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times. All positions must be performed with team and store Standard Operating Procedures. Further, Team Members must be prepared and able to perform the duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions. Team Leaders are required to spend significant time on the floor, engaging with customers, and pitching in to help whenever and wherever needed. All positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and delegates tasks to Team Members.

  • Works with Team Trainer to train Team Members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.

  • Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.

  • Keeps all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.

  • Resolves difficult customer situations.

  • Ensures all necessary breaks are given.

  • Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.

  • Communicates attendance issues or concerns to Team Leader and Store Leadership.

  • Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.

  • Fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.

  • Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questions.

  • Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.

  • Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.

  • Consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.

Experience:

  • 12+ months retail experience.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.

  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.

  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.

  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.

  • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees="" fahrenheit="" (freezing),="" 32-40="" degrees="" fahrenheit="" (refrigerators),="">90 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

The incumbent will lead the Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM) program to meet requirements and needs at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. Responsibilities will include coordinating all aspects of the LRAM program include assessing training damage, identifying and prioritizing potential LRAM projects, ensuring projects are executed in compliance with applicable statutory regulations, and coordination with Range Operations. The incumbent should have heavy equipment experience. The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground is located in southwestern Arizona (near the southeast California border) and is approximately 25 miles north-east of the city of Yuma. The Proving Ground is located in the heart of the great Sonoran desert and experiences very hot temperature with clear air, low humidity and little rain. Required Job Qualifications Minimum qualifications include: * The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United States by proposed start date. CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. * Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license by the employment start date. * A BA/BS degree in natural resources, environmental science, land conservation, forestry, horticulture, or related applied discipline. * Six months or more field experience in land rehabilitation. * Experience in the restoration of disturbed desert soils, vegetation, and habitats. * Experience with geographical information systems (GIS) and global position systems (GPS). * Experience operating four-wheel drive vehicles and other equipment in rough terrain. * Ability to walk long distances on rough terrain and work for extended hours in extreme weather conditions.
