Position Purpose:

Associates in Store Support positions are responsible for a variety of non-sales functions. This may include ensuring an outstanding customer order fulfillment experience, assisting customers in the lot or providing administrative services.

Direct customer or vendor interaction is sometimes required for these positions. Whether directing customers to store departments or merchandise, answering customer questions on product order status, handling cash management or program compliance, these positions play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Individuals in these positions must work cooperatively with other Associates, vendors, carriers, and productively with little/some supervision, be detail-oriented, and have proven time management skills.

They must demonstrate a high level of integrity at all times, respond to operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key operational responsibilities. Specific positions may include: Office Associate, Order Fulfillment Associate, Lot Associate, Customer Service Representative, Door Monitor Associate and Associate Coordinator.

Work Smarter, work safer, work Sandalwood! </p><p>The successful candidate for Safety Technical Support Engineer will join a growing team of Health, Safety &amp; Engineering professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity and employee health.</p><p>This is a contract position for 40 weeks – one year requiring travel to different locations. Travel will be for periods of 10 -20 weeks at a time possible at each location (Selmer, TN, Decatur, AL, Camden, SC, Lafayette, GA). Travel costs will be covered where appropriate. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Successful candidates will have the following attributes:</strong></p><p> Thorough knowledge of state and national OHSA laws and Codes of Practice, corporate safety programs for manufacturing applied safety experience and knowledge of ergonomic assessment tools </p><p> Specifically knowledge of and demonstrated subject matter expertise in Lock out Tag Out procedures and risk assessment of equipment to meet requirements </p><p> Experience working in a manufacturing team environment</p><p> Demonstrated conflict management skills, strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills</p><p> Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills</p><p> Working knowledge of Microsoft Office</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p> Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Safety, particularly in evaluating design of new/current, equipment with respect to Lockout Tagout procedures. </p><p> Conduct Risk Assessments on various machinery and tooling including tasks related to:</p><ul> <li>Reviewing LOTO procedures to be validated and updated</li> <li>Reviewing LOTO procedure per equipment</li> <li>Labeling unlabeled LOTO points as needed</li> <li>Verifying LOTO procedure with process owner</li> <li>Updating systems as needed</li> <li>Making any changes required at the site per engineer feedback</li> <li>Reviewing LOTO procedures to be validated and updated</li> <li>Reviewing LOTO procedure per equipment</li> <li>Labeling unlabeled LOTO points as needed</li> <li>Verifying LOTO procedure with process owner</li> <li>Updating systems as needed</li> <li>Making any changes required at the site per engineer feedback</li> </ul><p><br></p><p> Effectively communicate new initiatives, standards, regulations, significant incidents and management directives to internal and external stakeholders</p><p> Technical consultant and advisor in technical and non-technical safety topics, including local and national safety regulations</p><p> Must present the knowledge, confidence and ability to take immediate and appropriate action when an "imminent risk of serious injury" has been identified</p><p> Work in cooperation with union Health and Safety Representatives to achieve objectives </p><p><br></p><p>**The successful candidate will be responsible for their own relocation expenses**</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, a related discipline or CSP certification</li> <li>5 - 10 years of experience in the field and in this area of subject matter</li> <li>Available to travel to various customer locations</li> </ul><p><br></p><p>Sandalwood is an Equal Opportunity Employer.<br></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental &amp; Vision)</li> <li>Retirement Plan (401k)</li> <li>Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary &amp; AD&amp;D)</li> <li>Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick &amp; Public Holidays)</li> <li>Short Term &amp; Long Term Disability</li> <li>Training &amp; Development</li> </ul> Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics Decatur AL
