OPEN POSITION: Store Supervisor
Located in Downtown Fort Wayne
The Store Supervisor position is an exciting opportunity for someone to directly oversee/supervise the operations of eight Salvation Army Family Stores.
Our Family Stores exist to fund & support The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, a residential facility focused on providing spiritual regeneration to men struggling primarily with substance abuse.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of Family Stores.
Oversee & assist with recruitment, training, and assigning staff.
Assess, discuss, recommend, and provide training for on-going Managerial development.
Review information regarding Sales, note trends, and discuss appropriate action to maintain sales quotas.
Oversee store payroll for all store personnel.
Responsible for the proper use & regular cleaning of POS System.
Inspect stores regularly, including register checks & reconciliation of cash on hand. Submit findings.
Coordinate with Director of Operations and Dock Foreman regarding merchandise needed for stores.
Oversee store inventory, pricing, and marking of merchandise for stores.
Conduct monthly Store Manager Meetings.
Work with Director of Operations & Store Management in the supervision & training of program participants at stores.
Manage stores on-site during times of turnover and absences due to vacation or illness, if necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree with 2 years experience in retail sales and marketing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a valid Driver's license & clear a motor vehicle report.
Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, perform with a sense of urgency, organize thoughts & ideas with good attention to detail.
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, rules & instructions, financial reports, policies & procedures.
Must be able to present information and respond to questions from upper management, store employees, customers, professional representatives, and the general public.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Must be able to deal with problems in a wide variety of situations.
Must be able to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, bonuses, and percentages.
Knowledge with spreadsheets and basic word processing: Microsoft Office
Must be able to operate a cash register/POS System.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time & is frequently required to walk.
Must be able to frequently travel by car to outside locations.
Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, and feel; talk to hear.
Must be able to frequently reach with hands & arms; occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include close & distance vision with the ability to focus.
