Position Summary:

The Sales Manager in Training role requires individuals with prior management experience to successfully complete a 60-90 day onboarding program prior to being placed in a management role at one of our retail stores.



Responsibilities:

  • Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training associates
  • Successfully manages all operational aspects of a store
  • Achieves financial objectives
  • Ensures excellent customer service is provided
  • Oversees inventory management and ensures stores merchandise is displayed and priced to the companys expectations
  • Ensures store is clean and attractive
  • Makes certain all policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years previous retail experience required
  • 3+ years of previous management experience required
  • Must have excellent organizational and management skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects while working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Computer and clerical experience is preferred (MS Word and Excel)
  • High school diploma or GED is required

A typical day for an Aquatics Manager could include: * Registering Members for Swim Programs including Lessons, Swim Team and Masters Swim * Casting, Training and Developing Aquatics team members including swim instructors, swim coaches and lifeguards * Maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the aquatic facilities Job Description The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the Aquatics Department and upholding Life Time's Mission and Vision Statements through the Healthy Way of Life Principles. The Aquatics Manager will deliver the highest level of customer service, management, and consistency to both Members and Team Members. The Aquatics Manager and Aquatics Team Members will ensure the best department appearance with a focus on safety to achieve the best member experiences. Duties & Responsibilities Member Experience * Sets the standard for the Aquatics Department by providing exceptional customer service and meeting the Members' needs and expectations * Plans, offers and registers Members for group and private swim lessons and programming * Connects members to the correct program that fits their area of passion * Ensures Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for the Members * Sets the standard for the Aquatics Department by providing exceptional customer service and meeting the Members' needs and expectations * Responds to Member inquiries regarding Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner. * Plans, offers and registers Members for group and private swim lessons and programming. * Connects members to the correct program that fits their area of passion. Sales & Promotional * Promotes Life Time swim classes and makes appropriate class level recommendations * Markets and promotes aquatics programs and activities in the club to increase participation Financial & Budgetary * Manages the aquatics department within budgetary guidelines daily * Processes and tracks all swim lesson revenue and refunds daily * Formulates, monitors and reconciles the budget and financial reports for aquatics programs Managerial & Supervisory * Manages and supports all Aquatics Team Members * Completes and documents daily inspections to ensure pool area cleanliness and safety * Facilitates lifeguard training on pool safety and rescue techniques during monthly in-services * Completes new hire paperwork, payroll, and scheduling in a timely manner * Ensures participant and instructor evaluations are completed and documented monthly * Organizes, communicates, promotes, administers, and supervises the department and swim programming * Ensures all certifications and LTU classes are current in the department * Assesses individual performance, provides feedback, and coaches Aquatics Team Members accordingly * Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the General Manager * Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth Qualifications Education & Experience * 4 year College degree (or in the final semesters of the degree) * Two years of customer service experience * Two years coaching and/or swim instructor experience * Two years lifeguarding experience * Two years of supervisory/management experience Licenses / Certifications / Registrations * Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid * NSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred * Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) preferred * Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) preferred * Successfully complete and pass the Life Time Swim Certification * Successfully complete and pass Aquatics Manager Training * CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire Benefits All Life Time Team Members receive: * Complimentary Life Time membership * Team Member discounts for Life Time products & services Additional Full Time Benefits * Medical, Dental, and Vision Plan * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Industry-leading Education and Training * Flexible Spending Account – Dependent (day) Care Account Compensation Salary + Bonus Opportunity ","title":"Aquatics Manager in Training Life Time Fitness Las Vegas NV
