About the role

  • Responsible for elevating the in store guest experience by delivering engaging demos with every customer

  • Demonstrate sales leadership by taking an active role on the demo floor coaching and mentoring the team

  • Lead highly visible retail store operations

  • Navigate ambiguity and manage change

  • Build, execute and gain leadership alignment on strategies to drive store operations and customer experience

  • Create and execute best practices to improve sales or profitability and share those best practices with key business leaders

  • Hire and train an effective demo store team. Consistently observe and assess capabilities to create development and training plans for career growth

  • Build strong cross-functional and remote relationships

  • Be a leader in the community; network and partner with the events team you will create, plan and execute in store events to drive foot traffic into Dyson

  • Manage store P+L to achieve company targets

  • Analyze sales data to effectively forecast sales and product mix

About you

In partnership with the Head of Direct Retail, you will be responsible for creating experiences that defy convention. Your love for leading others, technology, and design means you will know each Dyson machine inside and out and will be the first to learn, share, and inspire your team's passion for innovation.

As the Store Manager, you will develop a team to lead People, Operations, and Social Engagement. You will leverage your business acumen to create and execute actionable plans to forecast and manage your P+L, while driving key metrics. You must be an enthusiastic champion for the reputation inside and outside Dyson, committed to establishing an iconic experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years robust experience in a customer facing retail setting

  • 3+ years of retail store management experience required

  • Bachelor Degree strongly preferred

  • Bi-lingual language proficiency is a plus

  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity

  • Must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player, driven by exceeding sales performance aspirations and creating an innovative customer experience

  • Energetic and outgoing personality with strong communications skills

  • Ability to be a strong and enthusiastic People leader, coaching and training team members

  • Must take a leadership role in daily store operations

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and change

The successful candidate has a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience in marketing of RF or microwave products, ideally for the communications infrastructure market. You will work closely with our World Wide Sales and Field Applications Engineering team to ensure our products are positioned well with key customers around the World. In addition, you will influence our product roadmap based on the input you bring back from your interaction with our field teams and directly from discussions with customers. You will be responsible for creating marketing collateral, maintain product roadmaps and development of market and product requirement documents. You will work close with our product line management, applications engineering, and product development teams to define new products that help differentiate us in the marketplace. In addition, you will work with finance on business cases for new products. Your responsibilities will including preparation for trade shows and conference and you will work with our technical teams and marketing communications to position publications and announcement appropriately. In this role, you will mostly work from home for the time being, but we are asking that you will relocate to one of our sites in Mesa, AZ or Morgan Hill, CA when it is safe for all of us to work from the office again. Roles and Responsibilities: * Creation of marketing collateral * Assist product management in keeping product roadmaps current * Create market and product requirement documents * New product definition and business case generation * Develop and maintain forecasts for products in development * Assist in creation of product datasheets * Support sales in product promotion and customer interactions * Link between sales teams and product line * Facilitate customer sampling by closely working with program management team * Work with product management on replies to RFIs and RFQs * Help in preparations for trade shows, conferences, publications and announcement What you need for success: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field * MBA preferred * A minimum of 3 years' experience in RF or microwave marketing * Up to 20% travel * Willing to relocate to Mesa, AZ or Morgan Hill, CA * Must be a solid team player and be able to work in cross functional teams in global location * Excellent communication, presentation, writing and listening skills * Detail oriented, proactive and capable of exercising independent judgment, all with high energy. * This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
