Store Manager

Bluebird Self Storage is continuing to grow in Southern New Hampshire! We are looking for a full-time Store Manager to join our team in our Scarborough, ME location with the schedule of Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.We are team-based organization at Bluebird. Essential Functions:

·Build and maintain a team environment within designated location and across the organization

·Manage team of Customer Service Associates in designated location including monthly schedules, bi-weekly timesheets, semi-annual performance evaluations, and daily duties

·Ensure the office is covered during business hours, filling in call outs as needed

·Partnering with HR and Area Manager, assist in the recruitment process by participating in in person interviews as well as phone screenings

·Support all training initiatives including refresher training for existing team members and assist with onboarding of new hires to ensure understanding and compliance of company polices and procedures

·Monitor team member conduct and performance; provides coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action when necessary

·Oversee sensitive assignments monthly including billing, lien of sale process, final auctions, and cash deposits

·Assists with management of day-to-day operations including resolution of escalated customer complaints and processing corrections within POS system

·Deliver superior customer service, to both new and existing customers, over the phone, in person, and in email correspondence; manage escalated tenant concerns

·Possess a clear understanding of facility amenities and any ongoing specials in order to assist customers with determining their storage needs; rent storage units to meet company goals

·Perform routine facility walk-throughs, both interior and exterior throughout shift to maintain and clean the facility; ensuring the property is up to brand standards

·Conduct end of month walkthrough, ensuring empty units are reflected on the floorplan and have been vacated in the system

·Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·High School Diploma or equivalent, College degree preferred

·Must have valid Driver’s License

·Minimum 2-year experience in retail or sales, management experience preferred

·Experience within the self-storage industry preferred, but not required

·Excellent customer service skills

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

·Proficient computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office (Work, Excel and Outlook)

·Must be a team player

·Must be able to sit, bend, twist, lift (25 lbs.), walk, etc.
