The Store Leader in Training program prepares recent college graduates with the tools they need to become successful PetSmart leaders. In this program, you'll rotate through various departments of our retail stores learning the operational skills you'll need to run your own store efficiently. You will also build interpersonal and leadership skills that will give you the confidence to inspire and develop your associates. And you won't be doing it alone; you'll learn from experienced leaders and have a dedicated mentor to help you along the way. After four months in the program, you'll be ready to assume the role of a PetSmart Leader.

Position Information The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Training and Instructional Designer, CHRS to be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training resources for the CHRS project. This position serves as the primary training design and development resource for the CHRS applications. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Senior. Director, SPD, the Training and Instructional Designer, CHRS will perform duties as follows: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN SUPPORT * Analyze campus CHRS training needs. * Develop and organize training manuals, online training, and other educational materials for CHRS SMEs, training administrators and end users. * Work closely with our campus training managers and designers, ensuring materials developed are easily re-purposed and customized for our campus constituents. * Maintains online curriculum components to be delivered on CSU's learning management system. * Conducts Quality Assurance (QA) testing within LMS to validate online learning content will operate effectively on the CSU platform. * Partners with campus SMEs, trainers, and instructional designers and provide feedback on course functionality from navigation to recording course completion from an end user's perspective * Provide campuses with tools to leverage technology to improve CHRS related training in an online or in-person environment. * Research, design and create templates, materials, and visuals (images, audio, video) for CHRS training resources. * Keeps abreast of technology changes and software updates to keep courseware operating effectively within the LMS TRAINING / PROGRAM FACILITATION * Organize and coordinate key training sessions via CSU's LMS for other units on campus. * Deliver ILT, webcasts, virtual conferences and online learning related to CHRS projects. * Coordinate meetings related to campus training needs, CHRS content and usage. * Create training materials and use web based conferencing to train campuses administrators on features of CHRS * Organize and maintain systemwide documentation on CHRS processes and standards CUSTOMER SUPPORT * Provide exceptional and timely customer support and problem resolution to end users as they occur. * Assist campus SMEs, trainers, and administrators with assignment requirements, end user requests, ILT design and content recommendations. * Create marketing materials for systemwide use to promote CHRS content. * Facilitate requests from campuses with CHRS supporting vendors to quickly resolve issues. * Utilize wikis, blog, customer communities to stay abreast of CHRS releases and documentation for campuses and end users LMS SUPPORT * Assign/ Administer CHRS courses in the system to campuses as requested. * Assist with testing for system functionality, ongoing upgrades and campus CHRS related implementations. * Maintain content by 3rd party courseware providers and custom content developed in house or by campuses. * Troubleshoots eLearning courseware and tracks issues within LMS * Work in collaboration with Learning Systems Manager on new training systems, software, automation upgrades and overall efficiencies within LMS. * Track CHRS content updates in the LMS or content provided from external vendors. OTHER DUTIES * Assist Labor Relations with bargaining related to CHRS course content, assignments, and reporting. * Assist with supporting the Labor Relations team in negotiations and reviews of compliance training materials with the various unions." * Provide webcast support and troubleshooting calls for CHRS productions. * Responsible for keeping training content up to date on CHRS SharePoint site. Qualifications This position requires: * A Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required * A minimum of five years' experience in an administrative role to include two years' experience in training or training-related field * Familiarity with principles and methods of learning systems and/or training design * Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and practices to include: learning theories, interactive training and learning design, e-learning design principles, instructor-led training and evaluation methods. * Knowledge of current practices related to educational technology, instructional innovation, academic computing, educational media, multimedia, and online learning. * Experience working with HR data (specifically from PeopleSoft). * Experience designing training materials for ERP systems such as PeopleSoft. * Demonstrated ability to write, develop, and publish training guides, support documentation, online tutorials, and/or video-or web-based training materials. * Ability to identify, analyze, and coordinate plans for development of web-based training resources including FAQs, help articles, and training videos. * Experience that demonstrates knowledge, understanding, and application of administrative support skills, methods, and procedures. * Experience with eLearning software (Articulate, Captivate, Camtesia). * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint. * Experience with measurement of training outcomes reports. * Ability to work in complex higher education environment and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them appropriately. * Effective planning, time management, problem solving, and organizational skills. * Ability to explain instructions, policies, and procedures and to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely. * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the university and establish and maintain productive and effective, inclusive working relationships amongst diverse populations including staff, faculty, administration, students, and other internal and external constituents.
