Manage the Human Resources (HR) functions on behalf of the district management and store management team. Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Essential Job Functions:
Create and maintain job requisitions in the KnowMe system, maintain interview schedule, and move associates through KnowMe system.
Oversee the community recruiting duties, including the coordination of in-store recruiting, job fairs and hanging of hiring signage.
Perform staffing duties including, but not limited to, recruiting, performing initial interviews, utilize written job descriptions, hiring, pre-employment drug screens, criminal background checks and conducting new hire orientation.
Assist management in tracking/ analyzing turnover and execute retention best practices.
Oversee accurate completion of all new hire paperwork and forward to the Human Resources Shared Service Center (HRSSC) in a timely manner.
Monitor timely delivery of all required training for new hires and development of current associates.
Process separations in a timely manner and monitor two weeks not worked report.
Maintain personnel and medical files (In accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA).
Set up and maintain associate vacation calendar.
Maintain workers compensation files.
Work with store leadership and members of the Central division HR department to identify opportunities in the execution of division initiatives.
Assist associates with questions as it pertains to hours, pay, or schedules
Possess knowledge of associate benefits
Process highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality
Maintain compliance with all state and federal applicable laws
Maintain uniform program, including ensuring compliance from associates
Plan, participate and assist in various associate events
Adhere to established policies and procedures
Travel to other stores in the division to perform HR functions
Comply with all safety regulations of the store
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
Ability to work any shift at multiple store locations
High school diploma and six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must demonstrate ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, associates and customers.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and web browsers.
