The role of a Store Director can provide you with the:

  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building and managing a guest first culture across the store

  • Skills in retail business financials (e.g. payroll, profit and loss) and driving sales growth

  • Experience creating store specific strategies and managing your team to deliver results

  • Knowledge of retail business fundamentals for total store: sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns & satisfaction, pricing and promotions strategies, and specialty businesses

  • Skills in setting and planning total store quarterly business priorities and managing a team to deliver on sales goals

  • Make business decisions by assessing market competition, understanding guest insights and feedback

  • Experience managing a large team of hourly team members and leaders as well as leaders of leaders

  • Skills in recruiting, selecting, talent management and talent planning across all departments of the store

As a Store Director, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Own your store's overall business to drive efficiency and grow sales

  • Leverage your reports (financial, operational, team and guest) to understand the business and make decisions.

  • Understand sales trends and lead your team to drive sales growth in core businesses (Style, Beauty, Electronics, Food & Beverage) by leaning into key seasons, events and weekends.

  • Know and assess the competition; leverage guest insights and feedback to drive the business and be the destination of choice for our guests.

  • Lead an efficient operation to fund the sales culture.

  • As a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.

  • Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).

  • Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same way. Cultivate a guest-centric and engaged team

  • Develop a team and culture that is committed to guest loyalty and shares services and rewards like REDcard, Drive-up, Order Pick-Up, Shipt and Wallet to improve convenience and frequency.

  • Lead a confident and knowledgeable sales force that delivers a differentiated experience for our guests, prioritizes the guest over task and delivers a welcoming, inspiring, rewarding and easy guest experience.

  • Recruit, hire and retain a passionate team for area specific knowledge and expertise.

  • Invest in training to enhance skills and capabilities

  • Evaluate and manage individual impact through a total store contribution.

  • Create sustainable talent strategies to fuel continued team growth.

  • Own and implement exempt and hourly schedules that align to guest and business needs (including weekends, mornings, evenings, overnight, and appropriate seasonal adjustments).

But there are a few skills you should have from the get go:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis

  • Manage conflict and lead and hold others accountable

  • Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude

  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

VIEW JOBS 3/12/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-10T00:00 Under the supervision of the nurse manager in Adult Medicine and the Physician Champion for the Chronic Pain Program, the Chronic Pain Nurse Case Manager (NCM) serves as a case manager to patients with chronic pain and/or using significant doses of opioids and other high-risk substances. The NCM uses accepted criteria and guidelines to support individuals with chronic pain in accessing, navigating, and being maintained in the medical care system, and exploring the alternative treatments available at the health center Wellness Center such as acupuncture, massage, yoga, tai chi, etc. The NCM works with the health care team to establish and implement protocols for medical management, alternative therapy treatments, and maintenance support in addition, provides a link to other services as needed. Initial assessment and intake obtaining social, medical, mental health, chronic pain and medication history.Review intake assessment with primary care provider and establish appropriate plan of care for patient.Revise patient plan of care with the chronic pain team as needed to address patient needs and issues.Review consents and treatment contracts with patients and significant others, obtaining signatures and giving patient a copy, and scanning a copy into the EPIC electronic medical record system.Assessment and monitoring of patients all phases of treatment.Collaboration, communication, and meetings with Chronic pain team as needed and required.Researches, evaluates and recommends resources to meet the medical and non-medical needs of patients. Initiates referrals to the appropriate agency or resource and conducts regular reassessment of patient needs and resources. Works closely with OBAT Nurse Medical Manger to refer patients as appropriate and share resources.Acts as a resource and consultant for the health center.Provides injections. May be asked to train practice nurses in providing the injection.Proactively performs needs assessment and collaborates with physicians/health care team to develop the plan of care.Collaborates and communicates with the health care team and other involved staff/agencies to ensure appropriate coordination of services, including coordinating supported referrals. Tracks services to ensure adherence to treatment plan, medications, and compliance with treatment planning in order to avoid duplication of effort.Collaborates with Mental Health providers, Wellness Center staff, substance use disorders and domestic violence staff, to coordinate appropriate services for patients.Educates patients and families on specific disease management, alternative therapies, mind body programs, support groups, and community resources and capitalizes on opportunities for education and referral.Complies with confidentiality policies, HIPAA, JCAHO, and other regulatory requirements.Linkage to Addiction services and assisting patients at the MGH Health Centers to access the Methadone clinic with intake process.Ongoing education and support of patients in all phases of treatment including; nursing visits scheduled and random, urine toxicology screens, routine labs and as needed, medication teaching, monitoring, pill counts, observed dosing, and medication refills.Complete appropriate documentation with excellent record keeping.Assesses the patient and family in a systematic and ongoing manner for both overt and covert signs and symptoms.Collects pertinent data using appropriate assessment techniques.Prioritizes data according to the patient's immediate conditions and needs.Consistently uses clear concise and effective communication written/oral and comply with departmental policies when sharing/documenting relevant patient care data.Provides follow up care in person and via telephone when needed.Works with the pharmacy and the Chronic Pain team in obtaining medication orders, prescriptions, refills, and communication as needed.
