Store Clerk

Summary/Objective

The Clerk is a full or part-time position and is responsible for product display, pricing, and customer service for the Center. The Clerk provides supervision, protection, and care of youth and young adults individually and in groups as they gain work experience under his\her supervision.

Essential Functions

Obtains or receives the merchandise, stocks shelves, accepts payment, and makes change for customers in a retail store by performing the following duties.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in achieving store sales goals.

• Maintain and rotate stock.

• Ensure appropriate pricing.

• Build displays.

• Take care of damaged and distressed merchandise.

• Help maintain proper stock levels and help present the store in a way that gives an image of a store that is clean, neat, and well-stocked.

• Follow and enforce agency policies and procedures.

• Responsible for ensuring customers receives satisfaction in service, as well as quality in donated goods.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma preferred. Must have a valid California driver's license. Must be able to relate well with customers, handle money and provide proper change, and provide a good role model to emotionally disturbed youth and young adults. Must be at least 21 years of age.
