The Position

As Store Associate, you will ensure that our customers experience a great store shopping experience by providing first-line customer support. You will assist shoppers by answering questions, helping them locate merchandise, and assisting them with the check-out process, as needed. You will also be a crucial part of the operations staff and play a fundamental role in the proper and timely merchandising of the store.

As you begin your shift, you'll be given an assignment which could include receiving and unloading and shipment from a distribution center, handling merchandise that needs to go out on the shelves, cleaning assignments, helping the manager on duty with a special taskwhatever you are responsible for completing that day. In addition to your assigned responsibilities, you'll be expected to help customers as needed, do price or stock checks, ensure shopping carts are ready for arriving customers, clean as you go, and always work with an awareness on safety.

Specifically, you will:

  • Stocking and/or Cashier

  • Unload and sort merchandise upon delivery arrival.

  • Stock and display merchandise in accordance with Company merchandising standards.

  • Follow all Company merchandising guidelines and plan-o-grams.

  • Make sure all merchandise is accurately priced.

  • Process and return to stock all go-backs.

  • Carefully and correctly repack merchandise to be transferred back to the Distribution Center.

  • Break down cardboard boxes and place in baler.

  • Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot.

  • Report any illegal activity by customers or employees to Store Management.

  • Follow all Company safety procedures.

  • Work independently with minimal direction and follow the daily to-do list.

  • Clean up spills, floors, shelves, displays, bathrooms, etc.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management or Supervisors.

Skills and Requirements

To be a fit for the role of Store Associate, you will need:

  • To be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and excel in a team environment.

  • Prior retail or grocery experience is considered a plus, but is not required.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to interact in an effective and friendly manner with customers and associates.

  • The ability to comprehend instructions, both verbal and written.

  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet shift goals and expectations.

  • The ability to regularly lift one to five pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds as you unload trucks or move large boxes of inventory.

  • The ability to constantly stand, bend and reach with a moderate amount of manual dexterity.

  • The ability to learn to use a baler and pallet jack.

Store Associates often work early mornings before the store opens, or late evenings (up until midnight) after the store closes in order to stock merchandise, setup displays, and clean floors, shelves, bathrooms, etc. You should have some flexibility in your work schedule, including the ability to work a weekend day, though we will try to work around your school and other responsibilities. Most positions begin part-time at 24 hours per week.

FAA A & P Certificate, FCC license, or NCAT certification required. Ability to obtain Passport. 8 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance or servicing of large/mid-size acft to include 2 years experience on Gulfstream acft. Valid Driver's License required. Position Purpose: Independently performs a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support org. Duties include adv troubleshooting, removal and installations of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, control systems and any other maintenance requirements to assure conformance to procedures, performances, and test specs on customer live in-service aircraft. Supports the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with the aircraft. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Must be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched on the FAST acft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream. Must be able to communicate effectively with the customer, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Reps and Hangar Ops. Acts as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to correctly relay the acft schedule and return to service expectations. 2. Performs required. AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all acft mechanical and avionics systems. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and consistently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within the quoted or std CMP time with little or no supervision. 3. Complies with adv troubleshooting techniques for all model acft with assistance from Tech Ops. 4. Orders and receives all tooling and matls needed to service the AOG acft. Arranges the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream. 5. Coordinates with the Inspection Dept to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and doc requirements. Acts as the delegated Quality rep when assigned on road trips. Properly completes work order sign-offs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports and all other paper work in a timely manner. Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality stds and specs. 6. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with the customer and provides one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip. 7. Properly identifies (tags) customer property and equipment. Stores acft components and other customer property securely and safely. 8. Follows SOPs and JSAs/JRAs when operating GSE. Operates and supervises use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components. 9. Coordinates with Line Service and FBO ops to schedule movement of acft and assist with movement of acft. Also arranges, as needed, for the overhaul or repair of customer property and inspect/operate all interior installations and record discrepancies. 10. Provides regular updates on aircraft status and all customer support activity to Field Svc Rep and mgmt. Additional Functions: 1. Assists in training new employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
