MANDATORY SKILLS: Required skills:

Install, configure and manage an NETAPP Cluster Storage Systems

Provisioning storage to Windows, VMware and Linux hosts

World Wide Name (WWN) or Port zoning experience

Experience with troubleshooting SAN and NAS Window Server connectivity issues

Experience with troubleshooting SAN and NAS Linux Server connectivity issues?

Candidate may be required to respond to after-hours requests as required in a 24 x 7 environment.

DoD 8570 Compliance with internal certification level 1 is required, or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Ten (10) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Desired skills:

VMware administrator experience

MSSQL Database understanding and utilization

Experience with NETAPP OnCommand System Manager software

Experience with Brocade Network Advisor software

The Senior Storage/SAN Engineers would require at least 5 to 7 years of directly related experience supporting Storage/SAN operations and engineering. The position holder will be primarily focused on performing engineering, analytical, investigative and operational functions on Agency Storage Network environment; activities include Engineering, operation and maintenance of Storage platforms, monitoring, alerting, availability, and recovery. This individual will help maintain the exiting Storage and backup system and provide evaluation/implementation of the next generation enterprise storage solution to include primary, secondary, and Disaster Recovery storage using high-speed WAN connection. Will support requirements collection and assessment of anticipated storage capacity and performance requirements for the customer's enterprise. Tasks will include but are not limited to: * Provides identification/fixing for tier3/4 problems within existing storage and backup systems (Dell Compellent and Data Domain ) * Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues from Operations Team * Work closely with the Technical Leads to evaluate new emerging technologies and participate in analysis, design, test, and implement new development of next generation Storage and backup systems * Develop and maintain the storage demonstration environment in designated test lab. * Develop test plans to test storage and backup solutions. * Build drives aggregates and volumes. * Develop and configure SAN/WAN replication between sites. * Develop storage migration plan to include virtual servers from existing environment * Actively participate in technical meetings to suggest new ways to provide storage with backup options, encryption, secured access, and better efficiency * Work with different stakeholders to explain requirements and suggest the appropriate storage systems and backup solutions and procedures * Develop and train designated staff with "Over the Shoulder" by an Offeror implementation engineer. * Provide all documentations related to storage architecture and management Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Travel Required: None T elecommuting Options: Telecommuting Not Allowed Work Location: USA MD Annapolis Junction Additional Work Locations: USA VA Sterling We are GDIT.
