The successful candidate for this position will participate with project team to develop new applications to support 3PAR interoperability test team. Additionally, our interns will learn about 3PAR product portfolio as well as an introduction to storage components, SAN infrastructure, and test and debugging in a lab environment.

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a university pursuing a a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or similar field

  • A strong passion for software development and willingness to learn

  • Study or experience with databases: PostgreSQL or SQL databases

  • Experienced in Python with knowledge on at least one framework like Django, Flask, Jinja etc

  • Strong coding skills with at least one of the following: C++, JAVA, Ruby, PowerCLI. Experience working with JavaScript Libraries

  • Familiar with designing and practicing REST standards while developing APIs

  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments

  • Proficient with Front-End web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Strong computer science knowledge, including OS, database, internet

  • Self-sufficient, able to complete projects with little guidance

Micron is looking for a Senior Test Development Engineer with direct SSD PCIe/NVMe product test development experience to be a member of the 3DXP Systems Solution organization in Milpitas, CA. In this role you will responsible for the development and implementation of Engineering Verification Test solutions working in conjunction with the 3DXP product design teams. The candidate will be responsible for the design, optimization, and verification of HW and system test tools along with conducting the EVT testing on new products in development. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Create and document EVT plans and test cases * Identify gaps in test coverage and design and implement new tests to improve coverage * Design, develop, setup, and validate product EVT test tools for use in 4-corner, early reliability, and power testing * Test and validate product design compliance with margin to specification across all functional areas of the products * Review technical specifications and interfaces for conformity to design guidelines and functionality * Perform first level SSD failure analysis, work with engineering teams, and track bugs through resolution using JIRA tracking tools * Interpret test data and create reports based on the results Minimum Qualifications: * BS / MS Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Ability to work with architecture, design, hardware, and firmware engineering teams to design and develop EVT test suite. * PCIe/NVMe architecture development, design and/or test design experience * Strong hardware knowledge required; hardware knowledge specific to SSDs is preferable * NVMe/PCIe Protocol experience * Experience in the development of test tools/equipment preferably for SSDs * Experience in the development and execution of engineering evaluation tests using a high-level scripting language (Python) * Experience in development and debug in both Linux and Windows environments * Thorough understanding of logic analyzers, bus analyzers, and digital scopes and how to use these tools to debug SSDs * Self-motivated to deliver quality test results in a timely manner * Work well in a team environment * Collaborate across geographic sites and time zones Preferred Skills: * Ability to read and understand FW code * Ability to analyze and understand complex architecture, firmware, software, and hardware specifications * Experience working in Windows and Linux environments * Ability to analyze problems and apply corrective actions * Strong organizational and planning skills * Desire to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
