In charge of putting away all Direct Food issues and Food Requisitions, in a neat and orderly fashion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Follows all directives from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
Follows all standard practices in Food Warehouse, and obeys all food handling procedures. Uses (FIFO) First In, First Out Rotation program, with all perishables and dry goods.
Properly labels all food items with colored date label.
Keeps all storage areas, clean, neat, and organized.
Responsible for all removal of garbage and refuse in all food storage areas.
Mops and sweeps floors in all food storage areas, including walk-in refrigerators.
Keeps all cars and flatbed trucks clean and neat.
Responsible for all paperwork to include transfers, requisitions, and receipts, to be properly distributed and documented.
Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Must have speed and accuracy in order to maintain maximum efficiency.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen and food service areas.
Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperatures in excess of 115 degrees near dish machine.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop and stack food items and containers.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
