Stock Clerk

Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Storeroom Supervisor stock replenish and deliver materials to various hospital departments.

Responsibilities:

Restock and rotate medical surgical and IV supplies on a daily basis.

Process requisitions and deliver stock and non-stock items to hospital departments; advise supervisor of stock out orders.

Review supply levels in various departments and restock all materials to establish inventory levels and record data on appropriate requisitions.

Respond to telephone calls from patient care units and other departments for supplies and record data on appropriate storeroom requisitions and deliver supplies.

Make labels and apply to patient charge items.

Responsible for cleaning and straightening of assigned stockroom area to include stock rotation and restocking shelves; remove items on shelves past expiration date and give to supervisor.

Maintain established hospital/department policies procedures objectives quality assurance safety environmental and infection control.

Perform other related duties as required.

Other information:

BASIC KNOWLEDGE:

Equivalent to completion of four years of high school.

EXPERIENCE:

Six months to one year in inventory control environment.

Data entry/inventory control experience preferred.
