Family owned/operated 9-store chain BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Diagnose problems and determines what repairs are needed. Many jobs will include repair of STIHL small engines including: chainsaws, edger's, blowers, trimmers and other small engines.
Skills in disassembly, assembly, and repair of components and machines.
Performs all service tasks
Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments to be entered into our computer system.
Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation.
Participates in all training programs.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment, that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with small engines, two-stroke and four-stroke.
Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports (repair orders).
Knowledge of small engines.
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with customers.
Ability to use store computer and various types of diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to lift 60 lbs STORE OPERATIONS
Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.e. price changes, special orders.
Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
Operate forklift with proper training.
Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.
Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
