Sterile Processing Technician - Orthopedics

Job ID: 24-02498 Sterile Processing Technician - Orthopedics McLean VA MUST: High School diploma or GED. 2-3 years of experience ASC or Hospital Central sterile or operating room experience required.

Sterile Processing & Distribution Certification. DUTIES: Assists the OR staff in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. Responsible for instrument decontamination, sterile processing, and instrument care and handling and documentation and record keeping related to those activities.

Coordinates and follows through with all instrument training and equipment repairs. Trains new staff how to work in the varying areas of the department. Acts as an SPD role model for customer service, professional conduct and leadership.
