Sterile Processing Technician

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at NCG Associates. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments following established protocols and guidelines
• Assemble and package instruments and supplies for sterilization
• Monitor and test sterilization equipment, ensuring proper functionality and efficacy of sterilization processes
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
• Stock and distribute sterile supplies to various departments within the healthcare facility
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and OSHA regulations and protocols
• Conduct periodic inventory checks and assist with supply management
• Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Thorough knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures
• Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting sterilization equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Length : 14 weeks

Pay Rate: $1440-$1600 weekly

Hours per week : 40: 80 per pay

Shift Time: 4pm to 12:30am

Weekend Rotation: No weekend work

On call requirement: None

Holidays requirement: None

Floating: Yes

Experience required: 1 year of sterile processing experience

Certificate required: CRCST
